Guest guest
With the holidays approaching, many charities will be asking for donations. We Americans are a generous people and we love to help the less fortunate. However, many times we are giving money which we believe will go to help people, when in reality it goes to office expenses, salaries and other expenses, not to the ones you intended to help. A woman I know recently applied for a job at a business which was funded by donated dollars. She told me that as a donation solicitor for their business, 26% of the dollars she brings into the business is HERS as part of her salary, in addition to the hourly wage. That’s a huge amount of donated money which never benefits the intended recipients. Would you like to know how responsible your favorite charity is? Here is a list of organizations which rate charities. They use different criteria, so you may want to check out one or more before donating. Even the ones we’ve given to for years aren’t necessarily responsible with the money they collect. www.Charitynavigator.org www.givewell.net www.guidestar.org
Guest guest
It is the directive of so many of these "charities" to 1) collect huge sums of money for their own benefit 2) spend it on propaganda while going to great lenghts NOT to find causes or cures as well as disparage and suppress any real known causes or cures, do make-believe research and promote expensive and dangerous pharmaceuticals.
