Company names for their patents and modifications of the Classical

formulas can be confusing. IMO, one is better to use the Pinyin name

and / or Hanzi term for Chinese formulas when searching WWW for data.

 

Also, prices and inclusion rates of the herbal ingredients can vary

between companies.

 

For an idea of the variations and prices of formulas, register as a

practitioner (free) with Crane Herb Co, at http://www.craneherb.com/

 

Then go to the Custom Pharmacy Library there at

www.craneherb.com/web/practitioner/custompharmacy/cflibrary.aspx and

select the " Source Formulas " option.

 

Then enter the first few pinyin terms of any formula of interest, for

example liu wei di huang

 

This will return data from different manufacturers, with the prices

shown.

 

For an idea on variation in ingredients, from WWW data (including

Crane Herb Co data), here is a summary of the data on one popular

formula:
