The phenylalanine in aspartame lowers the seizure

threshold and depletes serotonin. Lowered

serotonin triggers suicidal tendencies, bipolar,

anxiety, panic attacks, hallucinations,

scizophrenia, mood swings, etc. To make matters

worse aspartame interacts with ALL

antidepressants because of damage to the

mitochondria. I can’t imagine any government

that doesn’t have the medical text on Aspartame

Disease because it will have a chapter on each

disease and will give you the mechanism by which

aspartame triggers the particular

An excitotoxin is a product that literally

stimulates the neurons of the brain to death

It was Dr. John Olney who founded the field of

neuroscience called excitotoxicity when he did a

study on aspartic acid, 40% of the aspartame

molecule and found it caused lesions in the

brains of mice. This is the reason that he tried

to prevent approval of aspartame. He was

particularly concerned about the effect of

aspartame and MSG together on the brains of the

fetus and the brains of our children. He said

birth defects is a given. The FDA actually

agreed with Dr. Olney who is one the most

renowned neuroscientist in the world today. Here

is the actual report, 49 pages that he presented

to the Board of Inquiry of the FDA who revoked

the petition for approval. The FDA was mainly

concerned about the brain tumors and the fact

aspartame couldn’t be proven

safe.

A woman who recently received a Master’s Degree,

and did her thesis on how aspartame causes

neurodegeneration, and the various

neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS and MS has

done a lot of the research for you from reviewing

studies, books and peer reviewed material by

world experts on aspartame. I’ll give you a link

to her web site, Spice Crosby and you’ll notice

there is a chapter for each disease. I might

mention Spice received all A’s and worked on this

thesis doing research for over a year. So its

going to save you a lot of time and as the

references from where the material was

obtained. From a personal standpoint, this will

help to educate anyone on how and why aspartame

triggers these neurodegenerative diseases on a

step by step basis. They explain how aspartame

All these chapters on aspartame and

neurodegenerative diseases really explain why

they are so epidemic. You’ll see one on

Parkinson’s, and then aspartame interacts with

L-dopa and other Parkinson Rx. Parcopa actually

has aspartame in it. Consider Michael Fox. You

may have seen his violent reactions on TV, how

his arms would swing out. He’s a former Diet

Pepsi spokesman that is addicted to aspartame.

I have sent in previous correspondence regarding

studies, 3 Greek studies. I was discussing one

of them with Dr. H. J. Roberts and he said: “The

demonstration that large conentrations of

aspartame can influence acetylcholine metabolism

in any model is important, especially relatrive

to brain function. It has profound implications

concerning the evolution of Alzheimers Disease as

discussed in my text on this subject.” His book

I’ll stop here regarding brain function but

remember that aspartame completely destroys the

brain. Searle did studies in 6 countries on

people in poor villages where they wouldn’t be

missed and never published them. I happen to

have the affidavit from the translator who did

those studies and she said all these studies

showed aspartame destroyed the brain. Some of

the people died. It also showed aspartame

destroys the central nervous system, hardens the

synovial fluids, caused brain tumors and

seizures. Admittedly they used a lot of

aspartame but just the same these studies were

only 18 months long and still triggered many

brain tumors. There was one pregnant woman in

the study who lost her baby, hemorrhaged and

disappeared. I have the affidavit I can fax you

2. Effects on satiation and appetite. There

is an entire chapter on this in Dr. Roberts

medical text. There have been at least 3 studies

that link diet drinks with obesity. The last one

at the University of Minnesota. To help you

In the interests of public health I am making a

position statement concerning the use of the

artificial sweetener called aspartame and sold

most commonly under the names of NutraSweet and

Equal. One must ask, " why do millions of people

ingest a toxic chemical like aspartame everyday " ?

To me it appears ridiculous and I believe that it

is because people have been brainwashed into

thinking aspartame will keep their weight down

and is good for health. It also shows me that we

have lost touch with our own natural senses and instincts.

 

After having been consulted by thousands of

overweight people suffering with problems

concerning the liver and/or metabolism I can

assure you that aspartame will not help you in

any way, indeed it will help you to gain unwanted

weight. This has been my experience, and there

are logical reasons to explain the fattening and

bloating effects of aspartame. When you ingest

the toxic chemical aspartame it is absorbed from

the intestines and passes immediately to the

LIVER where it is taken inside the liver via the

liver filter. The liver then breaks down or

metabolizes aspartame to its toxic components -

phenylalanine, aspartic acid and methanol. This

process requires a lot of energy from the liver

which means there will be less energy remaining

in the liver cells. This means the liver cells

will have less energy for fat burning and

metabolism, which will result in fat storing.

Excess fat may build up inside the liver cells

causing " fatty liver " and when this starts to

occur it is extremely difficult to lose weight.

In my vast experience any time that you overload

the liver you will increase the tendency to gain weight easily.

 

Aspartame also causes weight gain by other

mechanisms ---Causes unstable blood sugar levels,

which increases the appetite and causes cravings

for sweets/sugar. Thus it is particularly toxic

for those with diabetes or epilepsy. Causes fluid

retention giving the body a puffy and bloated

appearance. This makes people look fatter than

they are and increases cellulite.

Also with regard to obesity and aspartame, the

Trocho Study in Barcelona in l998 showed that the

formaldehyde converted from the free methyl

alcohol accumulates in the cells and damages DNA

with most toxicity in the liver but substantial

toxicity in the adipose tissue or fat cells.

Further a recent epidemiological study by Sharon

Fowler at the University of Texas in 2005 linked diet drinks with obesity.

 

In the Congressional Record, Senate, S - 5511,

May 7, l985, and part of the protest of the

National Soft Drink Assn, now American Beverage, is this Statement:

" Aspartame has been demonstrated to inhibit the

carbohydrate-induced synthesis of the

neurotransmitter serotonin (Wurtman affidavit).

Serotonin blunts the sensation of craving

carbohydrates and this is part of the body's

feedback system that helps limit consumption of

carbohydrate to appropriate levels. Its

inhibition by aspartame could lead to the

anomalous result of a diet product causing

increased consumption of carbohydrates. "

So as far as product liability is concerned you

have companies marketing an addictive

excitoneurotoxic carcinogenic drug to the

population as a sugarfree diet product knowing

full well this is causing obesity. They also know

that aspartame is addictive and that the methanol

component is classified as a narcotic. Aspartame

liberates free methyl alcohol causing chronic

methanol poisoning. This affects the dopamine

system of the brain causing the addiction.

3. Epidemiological data, including exposure data.

 

 

 

I have listed some studies that were

epidemiological. Sharon Fowler’s study that

linked diet drinks with obesity was a 7 year

epidemiological study. One that is needed is one

on MS because is so prevalent. You might link to

In fact, when I lectured for the World

Environmental Conference in 1995, Dr. Clarice

Gaylord with the EPA said, “We have an epidemic

of MS and lupus and can’t identify the toxin.” I

said, “I’m Betty Martini of Mission Possible Intl

and I’m here to lecture on MS and lupus and

identify the toxin as NutraSweet

(aspartame). Because someone later put a report

I wrote on 450 global networks and it made world

news, people all over the world with MS were

getting off the toxin and walking out of

wheelchairs like Cori Brackett who made the

She had one of the largest lesions ever diagnosed

in an MS victim. Eight months off aspartame her

large lesion all but disappeared. This was not

the first case. Naturally the aspartame

manufacturer at the time had the professional

and even read Dr. Gaylord’s many conversations

with me, even explaining why the EPA lied about

the actual conference existing. However, you

also see my invitation to speak so its easy to

check out. But my point is in one of the

conversations with Dr. Gaylord she mentioned she

got her information from reports across the

nation as to the epidemic. I knew it was

epidemic because I’ve been taking the case

histories for 17 years and as I get victims off

aspartame their symptoms disappear unless they

are too far gone. Aspartame can mimic MS but it also can precipitate it.

 

 

 

I would say lupus is about as epidemic as MS from

aspartame. Again it can mimic lupus and I’ve

seen cases were getting victims off aspartame and

the symptoms just disappeared. On the other

hand, if they aren’t warned it can become life

threatening. If it has precipitated lupus, I

have found that when I get the victims off

aspartame at least they become

asymptomatic. Epidemiological studies are very

much needed in these two cases and would confirm the extent of the epidemics.

 

 

 

4. Fertility and Reproduction:

 

 

 

 

First of all there was a Japanese study which

showed aspartame causes infertility in men. It’s

an endocrine disrupting drug, stimulates

prolactin and changes the menses causing

infertility. Dr. Madelon Price who is a

biochemist with incredible credentials and worked

38 years by the side of Dr. John Olney told me this as well: Betty--

 

 

 

I originally did research on aspartame because I was concerned about

 

aspartic acid, one of the major breakdown products. Aspartic acid,

 

like glutamic acid (mono sodium glutamate, MSG, Accent) readily passes

 

from the blood into the circumventricular organs of the brain, one of

 

which, the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus/ median eminence,

 

controls outflow of hormones from the pituitary gland. Hormones such

 

as prolactin, but even more importantly luteinizing hormone & growth

 

hormone, control growth & sexual function. I was especially

 

concerned because glutamate is on the FDA list of compounds that is

 

essentially unregulated (GRAS list, generally regarded as safe) even

 

though Dr. Olney has been trumpeting the harmful effects of MSG

 

since the late 60's. Aspartate & glutamate are additive in their

 

ability to harm the circumventricular organs. I showed (in rodents)

 

that both amino acids freely enter the arcuate nucleus & ( at low

 

dose) cause inappropriate release of hormones & at high dose actually

 

destroy these regulatory neurons. That is why sexual dysfunction is

 

associated with aspartame & MSG. If enough arcuate neurons are lost,

 

that dysfunction is irreversible. Rodents that ingest high levels of

 

aspartate or glutamate when young become infertile adults.

Dr. Bowen also wrote another report to show that

aspartame destroys family from the first twinkle

in a man’s eye. It’s really devastating because

aspartame triggers male sexual dysfunction and

ruins female response. So if a woman for

instance is using aspartame she can’t get

pregnant because its an endocrine disrupting

drug. If she gets off of it and gets pregnant

aspartame triggers birth defects and mental

retardation. It’s a teratogen. Even if a baby

is born that appears normal, it may have

heinously damaged DNA for generations to come.

You will note that Dr. Bowen shows how aspartame

violates the federal domestic genocide

code. Also in paragraph 4 he explains exactly how aspartame triggers lupus.

 

 

 

Thirdly, here is the Report For Schools. Because

aspartame has such an effect on the brains our

children, it was necessary to try and get

aspartame out of schools, so I asked the world

experts to write new reports on how aspartame

destroys the brains of our children, what it does

to the fetus. At the end of this report you will

see even a very indepth report from Feingold, the

ADD people. Aspartame triggers ADD and

ADHD. Today our children are medicated instead

of educated. Also notice right at the end is Dr

John Olney’s original study on aspartic acid when

Dr. Louis Elsas who was Professor of Pediatrics

at Emory University, Genetics testified before

Congress that aspartame is a teratogen and

neurotoxin. He has impeccable credentials. You

have no idea how many aspartame flunky’s tried to

two congressional records on aspartame. I

suggest you read them and see how scientists and

physicians spoke out against aspartame. The only

ones who spoke for it were the professional

organizations who are funded by the manufacturers

of aspartame to push and defend them. The l987

congressional hearing is about 400 pages so we

are scanning in the individual testimonies such

as Dr. Elsas which I also have by video. So you

can hear him say these things that the aspartame

industry doesn’t want you to know. You want the

true facts, this is where you will get them.

 

 

 

5. Immunotoxicity and allergenicity.

 

 

 

I’m not sure the right word is allergenicity. As

Dr. Blaylock says in a lecture: “Understand the

reactions to aspartame are not allergic but toxic

like arsenic and cyanide. Aspartame triggers

polychemical sensitivity syndrome or MCS. So

consequently victims who have gotten off

aspartame can be chemically hypersensitive for

life. We have to teach them they must go back to

scratch and never use processed foods, ever

again. It’s unfortunate but you have to remember

there is nothing that aspartame is useful for

except killing rats, and it instantly kills fire

ants. It’s a deadly chemical poison and every

component is a poison. Aspartic acid is an

excitotoxin and stimulates the neurons of the

brain to death causing brain damage. The methyl

ester in aspartame immediately becomes free

methyl alcohol, which converts to formaldehyde

and formic acid and causes metabolic

acidosis. The 50% phenylalanine as an isolate is

neurotoxic and floods the brain lowering the

seizure threshold and depleting serotonin. The

molecule breaks down to diketopiperazine, a brain

tumor agent that triggered brain tumors in

original studies. So if you have a molecule with

poisonous components and poisonous breakdown

products, it’s a poison, so naturally with these

deadly toxins the victim is going to become

chemically hypersensitive. Not only do they

complain about reacting to additives, and

aspartame has a synergistic and additive effect

with MSG, but also they react to genetically

engineered foods. It’s a very serious

problem. In one case a man had been off

aspartame for a year and ate a cookie that was

made with aspartame. It caused him such

tachycardia they had to stop his heart to save

his life. So even though the word allergen is

used and there is a chapter in Dr. Roberts

medical text understand most reactions are toxic.

 

 

 

Aspartame triggers such things as urticaria or

hives big time. It causes all types of rashes.

 

 

 

Aspartame destroys the immune system, that’s why

it causes such things as lupus, an autoimmune

disease. Like Dr. Bowen explains, the ability of

methyl alcohol/formaldehyde to create

antigenicity, especially as combined in aspartame

molecules is so great as to cause severe

autoimmune reactions to the tissues deformed by

formaldehyde polemerization, adduct

formation. The immune system turns against the victim’s tissues: Lupus.”

 

 

 

Understand that methyl alcohol/formaldehyde is

the strongest organic base in the living organism

according to Dr. Bowen and is a polymerizing

agent turning tissue into plastic. As the Trocho

Study in Barcelona has shown, the formaldehyde

embalms living tissue and damages DNA. When you

damage DNA you can destroy humanity.

6. Metabolic aspects and diabetes

 

 

 

Aspartame not only can precipitate diabetes but

it also simulates and aggravates diabetic

retinopathy and neuropathy, destroys the optic

nerve from the free methyl alcohol converting to

formaldehyde and formic acid in the retina of the

eye, causes diabetics to go into convulsions and

even interacts with insulin. Dr. H. J. Roberts

who wrote the medical text, Aspartame Disease: An

Ignored Epidemic, is a diabetic specialist and

was a member of the American Diabetic Assn for 35

years. He told me he finally got disgusted and

quit. He wrote an abstract on aspartame diabetic

reactors and they even refused to publish it

because aspartame’s manufacturer funds them. It

was published in Clinical Research.

 

 

 

In 2004 the American Diabetes Assn had a Rico

(racketeering) suit filed because they push

aspartame with full knowledge that it can kill a

diabetic. It’s the free methyl alcohol that is

causing diabetics to lose their limbs. While the

ADA got out of it the filing goes down in

history. When those responsible to solve the

problem ARE the problem its an abomination. So

now we have a global epidemic of diabetes and this is the reason.

People who eat two or more servings of red meat a

day are much more likely to develop conditions

leading to heart disease and diabetes, U.S. researchers reported on Tuesday.

 

Eating two or more servings of meat a day

increases the risk of suffering from a cluster of

risk factors known as metabolic syndrome by 25

percent compared to those who had only two

servings of meat a week, the researchers reported in the journal Circulation.

 

 

 

The symptoms of metabolic syndrome include

excessive fat around the waist, high cholesterol,

high blood sugar and high blood pressure.

 

 

 

The study also found that diet soda consumption

was linked to these elevated risk factors for

heart disease and diabetes, echoing the findings of a study published in July.

 

 

 

" When we found that diet soda promoted risk we

were surprised, " said Dr. Lyn Steffen, an

associate professor of epidemiology at the University of Minnesota.

 

 

 

" But then we thought about other behavior

patterns, " she added in a telephone interview.

 

" It may be associated with compensating for

eating higher calorie food. People may say, 'I

can eat this cookie because I am drinking this diet soda. " '

 

 

 

Lots of meat, fried foods and diet soda add up to

heart disease, the researchers said, and the

conclusions add to a swelling body of evidence

linking fast food with unhealthy lifestyles.

 

Steffen's team examined the diets of 9,514 people

in a study funded by the National Heart, Lung,

and Blood Institute. In a departure from related

studies, this one went into a detailed look at

precisely what people were eating.

 

 

 

Most were aged 45 to 64.

 

Based on a 66-item food frequency questionnaire,

the volunteers were categorized into two groups:

those with a " western-pattern " diet, heavy on

processed meat, fried foods, red meat; and a

" prudent-pattern " diet with more fruit and

vegetables, with small amounts of fish and poultry.

 

 

 

After nine years, nearly 40 percent of those

involved developed three or more of the factors

linked to metabolic syndrome, they wrote. This

was clear even when smoking and exercise were factored in.

Note from Martini: The reason diet soda is

linked to heart disease is that aspartame causes

an irregular heart rhythm and interacts with all

cardiac medication. It damages the cardiac

Statement of H. J. Roberts, M.D. Concerning Cardiac and CHEST Complaints

 

Attributed to Aspartame (NUTRASWEET ®)

 

 

 

Many patients and correspondents have asked

whether products containing aspartame can cause

or aggravate symptoms relating to the heart,

blood pressure and chest. Based on my

experience, as detailed in multiple publications

and books (see below), the answer is YES.

 

 

 

Hundreds of such instances have been documented

in my database of over 950 aspartame

reactors. There was dramatic improvement after

avoiding aspartame, and a prompt and predictable

recurrence of these problems when the patient

resumed aspartame products ... knowingly or

 

inadvertently.

 

 

 

ABNORMAL HEART RHYTHM

 

 

 

More than 120 individuals experienced a

detectable change in their heart rate and rhythm

after consuming aspartame - including gum and

products that did not contain caffeine. This

included " fluttering " , (palpitations) and rapid

heart action (tachycardia). A number had even

undergone heart monitoring (Holter testing) and other studies,

 

especially for the associated weakness and faint.

 

 

 

One patient developed a slow pulse and complete

heart block within hours after consuming an

aspartame drink for the first time. His attack

spontaneously subsided within a day without a

pacemaker; and there has been no recurrence.

 

 

 

This subject has obvious relevance to reports of

unexplained sudden death in persons who had been

consuming considerable aspartame.

 

 

 

HYPERTENSION

 

 

 

Dozens of aspartame reactors without known

hypertension were found to have elevation of

their blood pressure - systolic, diastolic or

both, Some were in their twenties. While

aspartame products unequivocally cause headaches,

the superimposed hypertension probably was a contributing factor.

 

 

 

Other patients who had been treated for

hypertension could not be adequately controlled

on their maintenance medication as long as they

used aspartame. This reflects its interaction

with various drugs. Aspartame originally devised

as a drug to treat peptic ulcer.

 

 

 

The rapid heart action and the elevation of blood

pressure presumably reflect the effects of

phenylalanine (an aspartame component) and its

metabolic products. They include dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine.

 

 

 

ATYPICAL CHEST PAIN

 

 

 

More than 50 aspartame reactors experienced

unexplained pain in the chest. (Many others have

atypical pain elsewhere in the body). A number

underwent stress tests and coronary angioplasty

for suspected coronary heart disease; they proved normal in the majority.

 

 

 

SHORTNESS OF BREATH

 

 

 

Over 70 aspartame reactors with " shortness of

breath " promptly improved after abstaining from

these products, and predictably suffered a

recurrence on rechallenge. Clinical sleep apnea also dramatically

 

stopped in these patients when they avoided aspartame.

Congress and in letters to Congressmen and the

FDA, that the current wholesale ingestion of

aspartame products by over half the adult

population constitutes an " imminent public health

hazard. " Yet this warning continues to be

ignored by the medical profession and the FDA. This is particular

 

concern for high risk groups, most notably

patients with diabetes and hypoglycemia, pregnant

women, children, patients with epilepsy, liver,

heart, kidney disease and eating disorders, older

persons with memory impairment, the relatives of

aspartame reactors, and patients having Phenylketonuria.

Based on above reports was Heath Ledger's death

caused by aspartame? This well known actor was

found dead on Tuesday. He was reportedly using

Ambien CR and Zoloft, and other drugs and he

drank Diet Coke with aspartame. Here again you

have to consider aspartame and the drug

interaction as responsible for his death. Since

sudden death is well documented caused by

aspartame this should be taken into consideration during the investigation.

You are familiar with the prestigious Ramazzini

Studies. This is a personal note from the

heart. I don’t have to tell you how upset the

world was when EFSA tried to rebut this

prestigious study peer reviewed by 7 world

experts. The respiratory disease the rats had,

as you know was discussed by Dr. M. Soffritti

because respiratory disease is the dying

process. We see the same thing on autopsies of

people who die from aspartame over and over

again. I see also that Dr. Koeter who finally

put out a press release and admitted the ESFA was

pressured by industry to highjack science has

left. I’m asking you for the sake of the world

not to let this happen again. EFSA doesn’t owe

Ajinomoto anything or any of the other aspartame

manufacturers. Any relationship you men and

women have had in the past or any loyalty should

be discontinued. In 27 years aspartame disease

has caused a global epidemic. Dr. Alemany in

Barcelona after he did the Trocho Study said

aspartame can kill 200 million people. I flew to

Barcelona and discussed his study with him. The

aspartame manufacturers doing what they usually

do tried to assassinate his character and

research funds were reduced. They are known for

this modus operandi. They can’t debate the issue

because the facts prove basically almost all

independent studies, peer reviewed show the

problems. Usually the NutraSweet people just call

prestigious doctors, and even myself,

names. They can’t keep rebutting studies because

they have no basis to do so. They were able to

get a deadly poison, an addictive one, on the

market through the political chicanery of Don

Rumsfeld. They have spent all these years

rebutting studies, intimidating the press,

rejecting research funds (their research funding

front group, ILSI), using front groups and

funding professional organizations and

prostitutes who will defend them. Think about a

world left to your children or grandchildren. Do

not let this happen again. There is no job and

there is no amount of money that is worth the

continuing poisoning of the world.

 

 

 

The FDA knew aspartame caused cancer before it

was ever approved. Their own toxicologist admitted it to Congress in l985:

 

 

On August 1, l985 the FDA's own toxicologist, Dr.

Adrian Gross, told Congress at least one of

Searle's studies " has established beyond ANY

REASONABLE DOUBT that aspartame is capable of

inducing brain tumors in experimental animals and

that this predisposition of it is of extremely

high significance. ... In view of these

indications that the cancer causing potential of

aspartame is a matter that had been established

WAY BEYOND ANY REASONABLE DOUBT, one can ask:

What is the reason for the apparent refusal by

the FDA to invoke for this food additive the

so-called Delaney Amendment to the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act? "

 

The Delaney Amendment makes it illegal to allow

any residues of cancer causing chemicals in

foods. In his concluding testimony Gross asked,

" Given the cancer causing potential of aspartame

how would the FDA justify its position that it

views a certain amount of aspartame as

constituting an allowable daily intake or 'safe'

level of it? Is that position in effect not

equivalent to setting a 'tolerance' for this food

additive and thus a violation of that law? And if

the FDA itself elects to violate the law, who is

left to protect the health of the public? "

There were two FDA toxicologists on site during

the original aspartame studies. The FDA asked

for their indictment but both US Prosecutors hired on with the defense team.

 

 

 

Dr. Jacqueline Verrett, the other FDA

toxicologist, who even wrote a book against her

own FDA titled: Eating May Be Hazardous to your

Health, the case against additives, also

testified before Congress and said basically all

studies were built on a foundation of sand and

should have been thrown out. All these safe

studies the aspartame people tell about did not

show safety. On the contrary they simply

couldn’t get a study to show safety and were

caught red handed, why they wanted them indicted

for fraud. Here is Dr. Verrett’s testimony

It’s very long and detailed and I suggest you

read it and understand you cannot do a study on

aspartame and have it show safety. Dr. Ralph

Walton did the research in 1996 for 60 Minutes

regarding scientific peer reviewed research and

funding:

When the second Ramazzini Study was done it

showed even a small amount of aspartame not only

will cause cancer but can be passed on to the

offspring if a woman uses aspartame during

pregnancy and the baby

survives.

FDA to ban

aspartame.

As Dr. Adrian Gross, FDA toxicologist, told

Congress – without a shadow of a doubt – having

to do with cancer. There is not even

question. FDA knows it. Here is the New York

Times article on the Ramazzini Study. Note what

the FDA said when asked why they didn’t ban it –

they said because it will financially hurt the

manufacturer.

That shows FDA loyalty to the aspartame

manufacturers. Do you think for one minute the

aspartame manufacturers care about how many

millions aspartame has killed and blinded? They

have no conscience and deserve no loyalty, no

pity and should be criminally prosecuted as Dr.

I hope you are aware what happened with this last

review. I flew to Brussells and met with the EU

giving them all the damning information in

person, and showing them the huge medical text,

1000 pages of diseases, symptoms and horrors by

Dr. Roberts. I spent two hours with them and

they were not the least interested in the damning

information and did not even open the medical

text. It was obvious to me what was intended, to

delete all damning studies and information. I

gave them Mark Gold’s (Aspartame Toxicity Center)

research on Monsanto’s studies showing how they

were flawed and what they did not to show the

toxicity of aspartame. I asked them not to use

these flawed studies. Instead they used them,

left out Dr Roberts research, Dr. Monte’s

damning peer reviewed journal article on

Aspartame and Methanol and the public health and

other information. Instead they used industry’s

flawed research. Here is the rebuttal to that

review and notice that OLAF, anti-fraud

organization found there was no committee making

the decision, just one person, probably an

aspartame stooge. So, no more Scientific

Committee on Food, now the

EFSA.

I have rooms of information on aspartame and I’ve

probably heard at least 50,000 cases from the

victims. Yes, Dr. Alemany was right, as I’m sure

aspartame has killed 200 million people because

of the neurodegenerative diseases and cancers,

and remember aspartame is an abortifacient. Many

women have lost as many as 8 babies. Multiply

that around the world. We have operations in at

least 39 nations all warning people off

aspartame. Nobody has a motive but to save life. Nobody is paid.

 

 

 

I’ll leave you with the words told to a friend’s

husband who worked for Monsanto the day he

started. “As to aspartame, don’t look at it,

don’t buy it, don’t use it, don’t bring it home,

don’t let your family use it, it’s a poison and

it causes Alzheimer’s. We don’t want our

employees sick on it.” This was many years ago

and to show you the link to regulatory agencies

Monsanto sent him to work for awhile with the

FDA. He asked them why they didn’t ban it since

they know its poison and their reply was, “well,

we approved it.” Then they sent him to

Searle. He came home one day and told his wife,

“I quit, their research is negotiated, they pay

for the result they want.” You know from

all this information I’m trying to help

you. Now you help the world by this time using facts and truth.

Request for Data on Aspartame

Background

Based on available scientific evidence, there is

broad agreement amongst food authorities

throughout the world on the absence of adverse

health effects caused by aspartame. Consequently,

aspartame is allowed by regulatory authorities for a wide variety of food uses

 

The former Scientific Committee on Food (SCF) of

the European Commission gave a positive opinion

on the use of aspartame in 1988 and since then it

has been in common usage in Europe and world wide

in a range of sugar free and low calorie food

products. The SCF continued to review the use of

aspartame and published a revised opinion in

2002, which concluded that there was no evidence

to suggest a need to revise the outcome of their earlier risk assessment.

 

Thorough and independent scientific evaluation of

available studies has not resulted in the need to

reconsider the safety of aspartame. However there

continues to be a certain level of public concern

with respect to the risks of aspartame use in food.

 

EFSA and its Advisory Forum (AF) therefore agreed

on the need for a consorted European-wide

initiative to address in a comprehensive manner

any remaining questions raised about the safety

of aspartame for use in food. Preparation is

underway to establish a meeting of National

Experts on Aspartame to be held early in 2009.

The preparation for this meeting includes the

identification and thorough analysis of all new

scientific evidence and other information

available on aspartame since the last evaluation

by the SCF in 2002. It further includes an

analysis of reported adverse effects of aspartame

in humans and the identification of possible gaps

in previous safety assessments. As part of the

review, possible limitations in current knowledge

will be considered along with the preparation of

options (including possible communication

approaches) for an EU coordinated approach to address any issues identified.

 

Call for Data

 

The purpose of this call for data is to offer all

stakeholders an opportunity to draw to the

attention of the team preparing the meeting of

National Experts any relevant documented

information that may otherwise not be available

to them through the published literature.

Such information should, ideally, be in a

published form. Other submissions will need to be

as comprehensive as possible. While the team is

particularly interested in data and information

in the areas below, data and information on other

aspects would also be welcome.

Areas of particular interest are:

· Brain function, including mood changes

· Effects on satiation and appetite

· Epidemiological data, including exposure data

· Fertility and reproduction

· Immunotoxicity and allergenicity

· Metabolic aspects and diabetes

· Cancer and genetic effect

The team preparing the data for the National

Experts meeting would also be interested to know

if, in addition to making a submission, you would

be willing to discuss the information you have

supplied. Please indicate that this is the case
