You asked about the way I plan my future: (From Jan S.) I read in Palace of Possibilties, written by Gary Craig, that I should write down on 3 X 5 cards the plans I wish to have for the future. I put them in front of my make-up mirror and every morning I’d read them and look into my face and eyes and say what I wanted to happen. I’ve never made more than $35,000 in my life but I decided I wanted a job where I could earn $100,000, where I would be loved and appreciated. I started looking for jobs in Sept. read Palace of Possibilities in Dec. or Jan. and started reciting the same goals over and over every morning for several months, until I got bored with it and stopped. In April I, totally by accident, ran into a lady who appreciated what I did, thought I was fantastic at it, and offered me a job. Said her top people were making $100,000. It is a real job, not one of those multilevel things, and what was even better was that I could work from home, which I love doing. The company is great, the people are wonderful and supportive and appreciate me and my efforts. I haven’t made $100,000 yet, but have only been there 3 weeks! What’s more, the boss is also into projecting her future and making it happen. She has her Dream Board. It is a cork board where she puts pictures of what she wants to happen. She told me of putting up a picture of a Ferrari. Said she couldn’t afford one, but really wanted one. After a while, didn’t say how long, a man came and offered her his ferrari. Said he didn’t want much for it but needed to sell it. She could afford it, so bought it. She went to get it licensed and the man at the License Dept. said he had to come out and see a Ferrari that only cost XXX. He couldn’t believe it. But it was exactly what she had pictured, except for the color. But when she opened the glove box, the drivers manual had the exact same car pictured as she had on her board, and in yellow. She wasn’t partial to yellow. Just had put up that photo, but interesting that it would show up in the glove compartment, just as she pictured it. Our minds are more powerful than we know. EVERYTHING that we create starts with an idea and we conceive that in out minds and then we work out the details. Sometimes our minds seem to workout the details without us being consciously involved! When I purchased my last car, I had my heart set on a nice Camry, used, but in great shape, like new. I only had $5000, but I had 3 weeks to find it. I searched every magazine and car listing every weekend and Sunday paper, and every car lot. I hunted for my Camry. I found 7 but eliminated each one as they all needed work, looked badly used, etc. Finally on my last weekend, I managed to connect with the one man whose car I hadn’t seen. It was perfect! Nice body, excellent motor and workings, my mechanic said after he thoroughly checked it out, and the price was well within my budget. It was 10 yrs old, but had only 95,000 miles on it so practically new for a Camry! My daughter did the same with her car. She had her heart set on a specific sporty model, and coulnd’t find one in good shape. Her budget was also limited, but she held to her goal and searched for that car. Finally, just as the transmission was going out on her old one, she found a beautiful, like new model with low mileage and a price she could afford. The man had had it for sale for months and kept dropping the price as no one was looking. He started at Blue Book price and by the time she bought it from him, he was down to half of Blue Book! Set your mind on what you want and don’t let it get away from you! Hold out for your goal.Good luck.
