Guest guest
Over the past few days, I've been having these painful lumps in my armpits. I had them on a regular basis a few years back, so I stopped using antiperspirant and they went away. I used deodorant only and had no problems. Now, three years later, I am having problems again and wonder what could be causing it. I've been on a wheatgrass kick for almost two weeks now (drinking 3-4 oz a day on a empty stomach) and wonder if this part of my body detoxing. Advice? Thanks!! Guest guest
i would say , that those areprobably swollen lymphnodes . keep the area clean and put nothing on . they should go away in a few days . IF they become really hard and hurt like heck , you mght have to see a dr , since they can become infected . maybe doc has some good remedy for the lymphatic system . Guest guest
Carla, My guess would be that your body was detoxing but I hope someone else answers this for you cause I'm guessing. We all have some major lymph glands under there. Either way, Doc's cleanses would be great for you. Also, have you tried a deodorant stone? It is made of salt and works wonderfully. It is much healthier for your body and is gentler on yout clothes too. I switched my whole family over to them and we are still amazed. You can work all day in the heat and sweat without any stink. The only time you stink is if you have been eating a bunch of junk you shouldn't be eating - you know, like when your breath goes bad too? It helps the teenagers around here eat healthy Cheers, Monica Grubb - Carla herbal remedies Thursday, July 20, 2006 2:36 PM Herbal Remedies - Painful lumps or boils under my arm Over the past few days, I've been having these painful lumps in my armpits. Guest guest
Hi Monica, I have used a deordorant stone. But I am only able use it on an on again off again basis. It stopps working for me after a few days so I have to switch. I love it when it does work though! I have to add a little water to mine befor use, but its great. --Carla herbal remedies , " The Grubb Family " <dbgrubb wrote: > > Carla, > > My guess would be that your body was detoxing but I hope someone else answers this for you cause I'm guessing. Guest guest
Hi Doc! My daughter Becky has this same challenge. She is 5ft 7 in. a solid 190 lbs ( she works in subs in a shipyard and has become very muscular even though the is a big girl At age 20 she had a child. She is 30 now. She went from a 36 DDD cup to a 38 G cup. She is looking into a breast reduction as well as losing some weight but she has these bumps show up every few months under her arm near her lymph nodes. She also ends up with a fungal rash under her breasts. She has been to the Medico's and they have done all testing and said they were benign lumps. Because of her size, she cannot go braless she even wears a bra to bed because it is to uncomfortable to not wear one. I will look up the 3 regimens in your files. Any other help for her? Thanks! If not, send me an email off list requesting it, with your snail mail address and I'll have my office fire off a copy to you. Guest guest
Hi Carla, try using baking soda for under your arms. My grandmother taught me this trick and even through I use an organic deodorant now if I had skin problems would definitely use the baking soda. Love and light to you. The reason I ask this is my daughter developed similar symptoms. Turns out she had cat scratch fever and this will cause your limp nodes under your arms to swell. If that is the case you need to go to your MD it only responds to a certain antibiotic. Not a MD here just relating my experience. My daughter's MD was knife happy and thought the worse and did surgery and removed her limp nodes. She now has Lymphedema in her left arm and she is only 20. A simple biopsy would have saved a lot of heart ache. Sorry, just don't want others to go through this. Melissa
Guest guest
Hi Melissa, I'm confused as to why you would recommend someone "needs" to go to a doctor when you had such a terrible experience taking your own daughter. Any time lymph nodes are swollen is a good thing! It means that your lymph system is working- it's doing it's job! It's also a cue to us to ensure our diet is such that we are aiding it rather than hindering it. "Listen to your body" is the message, not "run to a doctor". -Raine melbeech wrote: >Hey Carla, I have a question. Do you have cats? The reason I ask this is my daughter developed similar symptoms. Guest guest
No, I am very allergic to cats. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. They are starting to clear up now. I am thinking it was because of the brand of deorderant I was using (Toms). I switched from another brand, but this one doesnt agree with me. If they come back, ill see a doctor... I always fear going to one because none that I have come across is really into finding out the reason for certain problems, just wanting to cover the symptoms. Guest guest
I remember I experienced somethign similar and a ridiculously itchy adn read rash under my pits for about 2 weeks a few months back. I wasn't sure what caused it, but I narrowed it down to lavender baby oil, which I was shaving with at the time. Also, a new organic deordorant I was using at the time was just making it worse. So, I gave them both up, it went away and I bought another brand deordorant and have had no problems since. Aubrey's Organics citrus roll-on deordorant. It has Vit E and C in it..works well, lasts long, adn I don't stink anymore. Ha. My guess is something is just irritating the lymph nodes under there. I dunno if it would be the wheat grass though. It's somethign your body doesn't want on you or in you, that's for sure. Examine anything new you've been doing or using and see if you come up with something. > > > ---- > > Carla > 07/20/06 20:21:06 > herbal remedies > Herbal Remedies - Painful lumps or boils under my arm > > Over the past few days, I've been having these painful lumps in my > armpits. Guest guest
Dear Cindy, Regardless of how "muscular" she is, she is overweight for her height, and needs to lose some. Besides the Breast Exercises previously mentioned, she should also be on some kind of cardiovascular exercise to help clean out those lymph. At her weight, rebounding on a mini trampoline would be best to start off with. Unlike veins and arteries which have a heart to pump the fluids, the lymph system needs to be cleaned out with exercise only. There are no exceptions here. Another regimen that would be helpful would be hot and cold showers and if she has a shower wand, to pay particular attention to those areas. Inversion Therapy would also help dramatically. She may also have Kidney problems and some cleansing of this organ would also be recommended in case her skin is being used as a back up elimination organ here. This is more prevalent than you might think. Hope this helps.
