Guest guest
Dear HANS e-News readers: Please take a moment to read this important message from the Natural Health Products Protection Association. On Saturday May 8, 2010 Health Canada published the Natural Health Products (Unprocessed Product Licence Applications) Regulations in the Canada Gazette Part 1. With the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities' January announcement that pharmacists should no longer sell Natural Health Products without licences, the Natural Health Products Directorate has had to come up with a temporary solution for the 10,000 backlogged NHPs so that they can be sold legally until they are processed. However, the proposed regulations raise concerns which Shawn Buckley has outlined in a discussion paper. Visit the _NHPPA website_ (http://nhppa.org/) to download a printable version. Shawn Buckley has scheduled a Sunday afternoon meeting in Vancouver on May 16th that will be held to review the discussion paper. The meeting is open to everyone. _Fairmont Pacific Rim_ (http://www.fairmont.com/pacificrim/MapAndDirections.htm) , 1038 Canada Place, Vancouver in the Amber Room at 3:00 PM.
