I buy the cheapest MSM I can find. No idea if it is made from

petroleum or not. 8 years ago, I could not ie my shoes, or button my

shirt. Putting on an oven mitt was painful. I take 2 grams x 3

times a day. I started out at a higher dose and cut down after the

pain went away. MSM is not only great for arthritis, but it also

helped reverse my diabetic neuropathy in my feet and hands.

I take vitamin C to bowel tolerance daily. Currently I take ~15

grams a day. Back 5 years ago, I needed over 30 grams a day.

Why do you believe MSM from petroleum is inferior? The MSM molecule

is the same, no matter where it comes from.

Other studies showed it also worked better with glucosamine... I'd be interested

in what others think and which supplements which supplements have been helpful,

thanks

Yes, I am new to this list. I likely have copper toxicity from extensive coffee

and chocoalte and soy intake and zinc deficiency. I also am opting to take MSM

to remove copper from my joints and other painful muscles. I am not sure how

much MSM I can take. I've read sites online that said you could have rashes and

euphoric syptoms from taking it in consistant highdoses even for a short length

of time. SO I'm unsure about how much to take in one shot and if I'd be

uncomfortable with either of these physical/physiological responses.

How rare or common are those side effects? How long do they last? I

take lots of MSM daily and have done so since June of 2002. I never

noticed any negative side effects. Not saying you will not get the

side effects. Just suggesting it might be worth trying.
