Guest guest Report post Posted April 24, 2010 Lisa, the baking soda is in solution, so it is only a liquid. This solution is best made using distilled water (or Reverse-Osmosis--RO water) so that it can absorb more baking soda. Using a paste is not a good idea as it is messy and unnecessary. Other substances that can get rid of the source of the problem (scalp fungus beneath the skin surface) is to use antifungal tinctures such as Pau d'Arco, Lomatium dissectum, or Burdock root. The effectivity of these tinctures is magnified by adding DMSO to it to aid delivery through the pores. Unbeknownst to most people, baldness is a result of fungus beneath the surface of the skin, which becomes more problematic with age. The fungus eats hair follicles. I have noticed several bald men who have the characteristic signs of scalp fungus, namely brown spots. These brown spots are in fact the " tip of the tentacles " of the white candida fungus that lies below. I know this first-hand. Guest guest Report post Posted May 2, 2010 Thanks John, So if I add say a teaspoon of baking soda to a cup of DW and let it dissolve (then add a teaspoon of DMSO) would that do the trick? If I put it in a spray bottle and spray it on until the hair is wet/saturated.then massage it for a bit.then just leave it alone - would that do the trick? Thanks so much - I'll try this first thing once I get a better handle on HOW to use it.
