other things people have recommended but I need to keep it as simple and cheap

as possible? any help would be appreciated.

My wife and I are having success with reducing hair loss simply by applying a

solution of baking soda on our scalps, and leaving it on. The solution of baking

soda is prepared by adding baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to saturation in

distilled water. Caution: the baking soda will bleach your hair slightly.

Hair loss may indicate various problems with the body.  Of course, you may see

an alternative health care practitioner to see if all is well with the body.

The basics as those from Dr. Majid Ali - www.majidali.com  would be a step in

the right direction as would the advice from www.mercola.com and

www.garynull.com  These last two sites may also direct you elsewhere.

Aside from the whole body you must investigate, clean and build, you may

immediately start by trying to clean the scalp and take a multi-vitamin/mineral

supplement (a good one from a health food shop) and an additional supplement

with various nutrients meant to aid in hair growth.  DHT, free radical of

testosterone, is often involved in hair loss in men and women.  Yes, both sexes

have the hormones of the other but to lesser degrees.  DHT causes dormancy and

this may allow for death of the follicles.

Saw palmetto is one herb that aids to rid the body of DHT.  Yes, DHT is also a

problem for the prostate in men.  A shampoo I have used as a preventive

successfully for many years contains polysorbate 80 -

http://www.life-enhancement.com/product.asp?id=48 .  This chemical cleans the

scalp and follicles of oils, fats and waxy buildup that may be keeping the DHT

present.  It will take at least nine months of use to see if it is working for

you.  It varies from person to person as far as how long follicles remain

dormant before dying.  Many may come back.

I believe such a shampoo and my use of supplements and various health promoting

actions have preserved my hair.  All men on both sides of my family tree have

had hair loss.

But other avenues must be looked at since the liver having mold problems can

lead to hair problems.  The skin is often a reflection of what is taking place

in the body.
