Carpal tunnel help, please!

Lee, insurance companies that don't want to pay for carpal tunnel surgery, tell

their clients to try B6 first. What they don't tell you is that you have to

take lots of B6 along with lots of ALL the B vitamins. I take a high-dose B

vitamin, and about 250 mg of additional B6 every day. Sometimes my carpal

tunnels hurt anyway, but I can live with it. Much better than before.

I would try acupuncture! Also add raw organic apple cider vinegar to you daily

routine, 1 Tablespoon. This helps me with EVERYTHING!

I have plantar fasaciitis on the left foot and carpal tunnel in my right hand.

The carpal has been going on for 2 years, getting much worse, and splints don't

help anymore. A doc told me to get surgery. I don't believe in surgery - and

really don't trust doctors anyway.

I've searched the web for " alternative " cures, which is why I joined this group.

There seem to be a few (non drug) things available for carpal tunnel. I've

gotten some info on Wristrac and Carpal Therapist. Both seem promising. Does

anybody use one of these? Any comment is appreciated because I have to do

something soon. Thanks, Lee

I have carpal tunnel in both wrists. I had surgery on the right several years

ago, but have not done the sx in the left. It takes about a year to get full

function back after surgery, but left my right hand with no pain. I know Vit B6

is essential for people who get carpal tunnel. Once you get CT there is no

going back to pre CT. I don't know why so I'd also be interested in hearing

what others have to say about that. The surgery was done under a local, so no

general anesthesia. My left hand goes numb when doing too much with it,

including knitting.

Chiropractors also treat carpal tunnel without surgery because sometimes the

problem starts in the neck/shoulder area.

I've had great success with craniosacral therapy. You can find a therapist

here http://www.iahp.com/pages/search/index.php, but make sure you go to one

that had more than 4 CST classes. Acupuncture helps too, but CST is even

better.

Good luck!
