Guest guest
I can't find my supplier so I'm putting this out there in the hopes that someone can help. I need to get some bee's wax soon. Guest guest
I have 5 lbs of beeswax.. I only took off a small bit of shavings but I have no need for it. Maybe we can work something out for it.. e-mail at sarah -Sarah At 07:49 PM 7/5/2004, you wrote: >I can't find my supplier so I'm putting this out there in the hopes that >someone can help. > >I need to get some bee's wax soon. You'd have to clean the wax before you chandle with it, but it's CHEAP. I paid a 1.50$/pound for 50# JenB

Guest guest
Just a reminder if you need them in 1 oz squares, I took a old pot (garage sale find) and melted my beeswax and poured it into old ice cube trays, always the right size. Guest guest
I like that tip! Another good one is to get the beeswax unfiltered (it is so much cheaper to buy it unfiltered) and then strain it through panty hose. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Marti Smith [martismith50] Just a reminder if you need them in 1 oz squares, I took a old pot (garage sale find) and melted my beeswax and poured it into old ice cube trays, always the right size. Guest guest
Chris, I have done the refrigerator tray thing for beeswax for years. I like the ones with a round bottom, they pop out easier. Also easy to make candles with. ( take a piece of wick and anchor with a small metal screw nut.) they make great floating candles. Just do not melt the wax in a pot over a direct flame. I use an old pot and make a double burner from it, by using an old coffee tin. C-M
Guest guest
well if you lay out in the sun on a very hot broiling day with the beeswax pantyhose, you could " wax " your legs when taking them off, Marti
Guest guest
Oh, she's right. Beeswax IS much cheaper straight from the beekeeper. I personally gave up on that though. I always need just an ounce or so and those big ole giant chunks from my local beeman George, were just way too much work. I recently bought some beeswax in pellets from a listmember, and am oh so pleased. It's speeded my process up quite a bit! Judy Green Dragon Herbals Mail is new and improved - Check it out! Guest guest
Not me!!!!!! I look at them strictly as soap and candles tools. Just write them off on your taxes.
