his main

complaint was he has trouble breathing sometimes and the nausea

after treatments that last 5 days.

I ordered him a diffuser and would appreciate any ideas on what

he can use safely, if anything???

For nausea, via diffuser or inhalation straight from the bottle: peppermint,

ginger, sweet fennel or lemon. I'd advise getting several EOs, as his odor

preferences may change frequently with the chemo (very common), and what eases

nausea one day may cause nausea the next.

I have some info in the library section of my website on aromatherapy for cancer

support; it may be of help to your friend. Also, I have found reiki to be very

helpful and noninvasive for cancer patients in terms of ameliorating both

physical symptoms and emotional issues. Check with the VA; many nurses are now

trained in reiki or therapeutic touch, a similar modality.

My aunt who is going through chemo right now said the best thing for the

nausea what the putting 1 drop of peppermint EO on a sugar cube and sucking on

it.....she sees the difference when she doesn't do it.

what helped my Albert with the nausea from his chemo was sucking on either

lemon drops or mild peppermint candies...

I thought of ginger and peppermint to suck on but he's been going

for oral surgery, thats how the found the cancer.

I got the diffuser because he lives in a trailer that gets real hot

and he can't have a/c.

Thanks again everyone.
