Guest guest
his main complaint was he has trouble breathing sometimes and the nausea after treatments that last 5 days. I ordered him a diffuser and would appreciate any ideas on what he can use safely, if anything??? For nausea, via diffuser or inhalation straight from the bottle: peppermint, ginger, sweet fennel or lemon. I'd advise getting several EOs, as his odor preferences may change frequently with the chemo (very common), and what eases nausea one day may cause nausea the next. I have some info in the library section of my website on aromatherapy for cancer support; it may be of help to your friend. Also, I have found reiki to be very helpful and noninvasive for cancer patients in terms of ameliorating both physical symptoms and emotional issues. Check with the VA; many nurses are now trained in reiki or therapeutic touch, a similar modality.
