Actually, as long as there are no personal attacks (ad hominem:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem),

then what's the problem with expressing your own authentic voice, even if it

isn't soft or p.c.?

 

Racist, sexist, classist, ageist, etc.. remarks should be kept off the air,

but what about " keeping it real " in forming a poly-logue? I don't think

anyone here in this particular discussion has personally attacked another,

only challenged philosophical beliefs.

If we don't say what we really mean, then this discussion group mind as well

be a weekly newsletter, edited by a committee.

I personally appreciate everyone's comments, especially those who are

speaking from their experience and the heart. Of course, humility and

compassion make me warm inside, and then again, a little argument (wood

energy) keeps the fire burning.

On this issue, I guess I'm coming from the Anthony Bourdain school of " no

b.s. " TCM.
