Lingual Ascorbic Acid test(LAAT)--a valid spot test?

Yes, but could it not be an indicator that there is a potential problem needing

to be tested further and that if superficial levels of ascorbic acid are low,

intracellular concentrations should be looked at as well? To use an analogy,

the fasting blood sugar test (FBS) is used as a diabetes screening to detect any

disorder of glucose metabolism, but to confirm diabetes the patient need to take

the postprandial blood sugar test(PPBS) and to confirm hypoglycemia they need to

take the glucose tolerance test(GTT).
