No stats or research here. Just observation. Many of my patients report better

sleep with acupunture - I am 5E trained and incorporate TCM and Dr. Tan, GuaSha.

Recently I treated a patient who had been in a car accident. He reported neck

and shoulder aching. Unable to look up without aching, restriction motion in

the neck and head turning.

I started treating him, day one, with GuaSha on neck, shoulders and back. Lots

of stagnation came to the surface. I treated his GV line (upper) GB and SI

shoulders (also Ahsi in the area)

I did this for about 3 treatments, closed treating qualties on the pulses and 5E

diagnosis. After 3 treatments or so, he reported sleeping through the night for

the first time in a year. He held this for a while. Then he did some lifting

(his mother from a wheelchair to the car) that caused him to throw things off.

He was a bit panicked about regressing. I treated him again and reassured him.

I always like to put the treatment results back to the patient. It is him and

me affecting the result. Not just me. His sleep returned and with time he will

see me less and less and realize he plays a major part in his healing.
