Guest guest
Dear Johnna, At 6 liters, you are fortunate to be alive, my dear. No wonder you were paralyzed and unable to speak. First of all, 6 liters is almost 7 quarts a day, that's quite an addiction. The last time someone was drinking that much he ended up in a coma at the Mayo Clinic. When I called the physician I told him what he probably found like elevated liver enzyme studies, etc. He finally said, " how do you know what the tests showed?, and I answered " I don't, but I know what aspartame does " . He was suffering from methanol poisoning from aspartame. Aspartame is an adjuvant and it forms antigenic tissue, triggering immunologic attack. So Dr. James Bowen explains how aspartame triggers lupus this way: " The ability of methyl alcohol/formaldehyde to create antigenicity, especially as combined in aspartame molecules is so great as to cause severe autoimmune reactions to the tissues deformed by formaldehyde polemerization, adduct formation. The immune system turns against the victim's tissues: Lupus. " Aspartame Disease can mimic lupus and it can trigger it. It has been my experience in taking cases for 17 years that even when it triggers lupus, usually the victim becomes asymptomatic off aspartame. However, you have been obviously using aspartame since it was approved and its going to take quite a bit of time for you to get well. That's why you need all the education you can get on this addictive excitoneurotoxic carcinogenic drug that interacts with virtually all drugs and vaccines and toxins. I congratulate you on getting off aspartame, the addiction is very bad, and yes because of withdrawal symptoms you get worse before you get better. Dr. H. J. Roberts who wrote the medical text: Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, www.sunsentpress.com explains the addiction this way. The free methyl alcohol which is classified as a narcotic causes chronic methanol poisoning. This effects the dopamine system of the brain and causes the addiction. Dr. Russell Blaylock, neurosurgeon and author of Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills, www.russellblaylockmd.com has written this detox program for aspartame victims. It's called " What To Do If You Have Used Aspartame " : www.wnho.net/wtdaspartame.htm Dr. James Bowen says once you have used it you're chemically hypersensitive for life. I know that's bad news but as Dr. Bowen said, " you have to tell the victims otherwise they won't be able to live a normal life " . What this means is you can no longer use processed foods, you need to go back to scratch. Even fluoride interacts with aspartame so you can't drink tap water. There is a lot to learn and I would suggest that you to the Aspartame Information List on www.mpwhi.com scroll down to banners. That way you can ask any questions you want daily and get an answer. As Dr. Roberts always says, " When in doubt throw it out " . If you find something that has a list of ingredients you can't pronounce don't consume it. Also, aspartame has an additive and synergistic effect with MSG. Both aspartame and MSG can be hidden in artificial and natural flavors. You want to know where to get help. What state are you in? There are Aspartame Detoxification Centers in the US and also the Essence Recovery Center in Asheville, North Carolina takes patients with aspartame addiction. But I would suggest that you give a copy of this letter to your physicians along with the reports - the URL's I gave you. Then they will understand why you have the problems you do. As to Multiple Sclerosis, aspartame can mimic it or it can precipitate it. Many times with people who don't take it as long as you have, it just mimics MS, its the chronic methanol poisoning. Methanol poisoning produces symptoms identical to MS. For instance, here is a case where aspartame just mimicked MS. Her story was later told in First For Women, with her new baby boy. She thought she couldn't get pregnant and had no idea that aspartame is an endocrine disrupting agent, stimulates prolactin, changes the menses and causes infertility. A few weeks off aspartame all symptoms disappeared and she was able to get pregnant. She had been diagnosed by two physicians as having MS, but was simply suffering from methanol toxicity. 6800 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Apartment E-7, Doraville, GA November 18, 1994 I'm a 29 year old athletic female victim of deadly NutraSweet poisoning. I began to use it in the spring of 1990, and soon afterwards my condition began to deteriorate. I never imagined my strange symptoms were from a chemical, after all it's approved by the FDA and on restaurant tables. My eyesight began to fade until I was almost blind in one eye. Next my hearing became dull and my legs, feet and torso lost sensation and became numb. I was dizzy most of the time, irritable and depressed and had constant terrible headaches. I became very clumsy, dropped and bumped into things. I used to skate but having lost my balance, I had to give it up. My mind was affected, and I thought I had a brain tumor. Reading comprehension and memory drastically decreased. I thought I was dying. Two different doctors made the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. One was an eye specialist I saw about my vision loss. This spring a friend explained to me that all my symptoms were coming from aspartame (NutraSweet) and that I had methanol toxicity which mimics Multiple Sclerosis. I was only drinking three Diet Cokes a day. I could hardly believe the horrible nightmare I was living was sold in 6 packs at the grocery store, but I would try anything so I stopped. Right away I began to feel better, and today most of my symptoms have completely disappeared. My friend, Betty, was right, I was suffering from methanol toxicity. My hearing and vision have returned and so has my memory. I'm no longer clumsy and have regained my balance, and feeling has returned to my lower extremities. How can a poison like NutraSweet be sold to an entire population? How could it ever be approved by the FDA? I learned that I had the classic symptoms, and if I had not been warned in time it may have killed me. There is no doubt that the NutraSweet was responsible. One day a hostess gave me a Diet Pepsi, and not wanting to hurt her feelings, I accepted. Sure enough the next day my numbness returned, and I began to feel ill. This poison must be removed from the market. I'm writing to help others in the hope that they can avoid the terror, confusion and helplessness NutraSweet brought into my life! Sincerely, Alecia Morris ______________________________ In all these years the symptoms have never returned and she is leading a normal life. I'm sure the symptoms sound familiar to your own case. MS is not considered curable so you know the difference as aspartame victims improve or get well. Dr. Woodrow Monte who wrote the peer reviewed journal article: Aspartame: Methanol and the Public Health: http://www.dorway.com/monte84.html has recently written two articles having to do with the methanol and MS that are excellent: Is Your Diet Sweetener Killing You? http://www.thetruthaboutstuff.com/review1.shtml He also explains the propaganda from industry when they say there is more methanol in say oranges than in aspartame. What they don't say is methanol in nature is always bound to pectin which takes it safely out of your body. Secondly in vegetables or fruit there is always ethanol which is the antidote for methanol toxicity. Here is his second article: A Deadly Experiment - What Price Aspartame? http://www.thetruthaboutstuff.com/review2.shtml Notice he says that women bear the brunt of MS and lupus. He also talks about the epidemic of MS. The epidemic was published in a neurology report you will want to read. It also includes Dr. Blaylock's paper on the MS and aspartame connection along with a formula to get a patient out of a wheelchair. It also has Dr. Roberts paper on MS or Aspartame Disease. Notice he says a physician should not even make the diagnosis of MS until the patient has been off aspartame for several months. Further, he says a physicians should put aspartame MS victims on drugs because they are already toxic from the aspartame and its going to make them worse. So you note his suggestion of waiting until the patient is off aspartame for some time. It could be just mimicking MS, methanol toxicity, and you get a victim in time they can get well like Alecia, the case up above. Also, in this report is the case of a lady who convinced her neurologist aspartame caused the MS by getting back on it. The neurologist was convinced and now warns all his patients off aspartame. In this post you will also find all the resources like books by Doctors H. J. Roberts and Russell Blaylock, M.D. It will tell you the story of Cori Brackett, who like you drank diet drinks for years, ended up in a wheelchair not able to walk and barely could talk. She had one of the largest lesions. She eventually walked out of her wheelchair and 8 months later her large lesion all but disappeared. She went on to make the film Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World, www.soundandfury.tv Your physicians need to see this film as well. Here is the URL for these very important reports and resources on the MS issue: http://www.mpwhi.com/new_report_at_neurology_conference.htm Here is also a report by Dr. James Bowen who wrote Aspartame Puts Deadly Methanol in the Blood: http://www.mpwhi.com/aspartame_and_methanol_in_blood.htm Here is the material safety data sheet: <http://www.wnho.net/aspartame_msds_3.pdf>http://www.wnho.net/aspartame_msds_3.p\ df This is what you were consuming! As to optic neuritis its notorious, of course, with aspartame. The free methyl alcohol converts to formaldehyde and formic acid in the retina of the eye and destroys the optic nerve. Read these two articles from Dr. Morgan Raiford who was considered " the specialist " in methanol toxicity. He was an ophthalmologist here in Atlanta and owned the Atlanta Eye Hospital. http://www.dorway.com/raiford.txt and http://www.dorway.com/betty/morgraif.txt Notice he says in this latter report: " When this drug enters the digestive tract, largely the upper portion, this ASPARTAME molecule spins off a by product known as METHANOL or METHYL-ALCOHOL. This product enters the blood stream and when these portions reach the highly metabolic region of the OPTIC NERVE AND RETINA, PARTIAL ATROPHY CAN AND DOES TAKE PLACE. The vision can not do without oxygen and nutrition for more than ninety seconds without revealing some damage. Total loss of vision is present and there is no return. In the very early stages in which is referred to as the " wet stage " , treatment can be given and will reserve the destructive pathology to the OPTIC NERVE and RETINA. " The problem is the methyl alcohol enters the blood stream. As Dr. Raiford explains in early stages referred to the " wet stage " there can be a reversal. I know what you're experiencing because I have optic neuritis myself. I didn't get it from aspartame but there is a very dangerous drug on the market called Ambien CR for sleep. I used it and it swelled up my face and optic nerve. I'm on a lot of anti-oxidants. The FDA who is really just Big Pharma's Washington Branch Office will approve anything. And they know aspartame is a poison because they tried to have the manufacturer indicted for fraud but both U.S. Prosecutors hired on with the defense team and the statute of limitations expired. They then revoked the petition for approval but it was through the political chicanery of Don Rumsfeld that got it marketed. They ought to put everyone responsible on an iceberg and send it out to sea. Cases like yours never stop coming in. It's almost midnight and I could stay up all night answering cases of MS or methanol poisoning from aspartame. Incidentally, the tingling you're experiencing is from the methanol. Read the FDA report of 92 symptoms on www.mpwhi.com . Know we are here to help you and support you, so get on the Aspartame Information List as there are many others who have gone through what you have gone through. They will tell you what they did to get better. If you want to warn others the Idaho Observer www.idaho-observer.com publishes the Artificially Sweetened Times, 26 page brochures on aspartame disease for distribution. They say they will keep publishing it until we get it off the market. They are very inexpensive as they are only trying to help. God Bless you and we look forward to your continued recovery. Just take one day at a time and follow Dr. Blaylock's recommendations. Forward all these reports to your physicians so they will understand what happened to you and why. It's all in the physician's books.
