May 14, 2008We have a little catching up to do! We completed the last of our 55(!) conventions just about 3 weeks ago on April 19th and have been preparing for the 56th , our State Convention. What a phenomenal job you have all done. You are proving the critics wrong by staying involved. We realized our lives would never be the same once we became aware of the state of affairs and that it's care as a sovereign nation is really in our individual hands. Quitting just isn't an option for us! We were given a miracle and shown our path through this campaign, we have our yellow brick road to liberty -- but we must walk it. The challenge for us all right now is to keep on...to find, with each others help, ways to be a part of this heroic undertaking. Many of us have depleted our bank accounts, our energy reserves, our hopes, our patience...if the 20,000 of us in Washington make even one phone call a day to stay involved... this is a tremendous and real force for change! We also cannot do it alone. The State Convention is an excellent opportunity for potential allies to discover we are a principled and responsible addition to the ranks of Republican activists. Ron want's us to keep our message positive and use gentle persuasion to attract other activists to our cause. Let's take his high road. STATE CONVENTION

We are expecting all the delegates and the alternates to be at the convention in Spokane. We know that you can't all make it but it would be marvelous to have all of you there to meet at a rally and celebration of what we have accomplished. See below for who to contact for rally information. There are organizers doing a great job of making sure that everything gets handled for the convention. All delegates and alternates should contact their Congressional leaders for information. Please give a courtesy call as well to let us know if you are not planning on attending so we don't keep calling. With help with forms please call your Congressional leaders. At 6:30 on Tuesday, May 20th the 2nd Congressional District we will be having a meeting in Snohomish County for all the delegates and alternates that. Space is limited so be prepared to RSVP when you receive the announcement. Other Announcements and Info On June 2nd Lew and I will be hosting a luncheon table for Dino Rossi. 12 noon Everett Events Center, $150 cost. In April Michelle Murphy organized a very successful and well attended meeting in Wenatchee to discuss what an ongoing organism vs. organization (bottom up vs. top down) for supporters in WA state might look like. We ruled out many options and agreed it might be better to start from scratch and not to charter with the RLC. We are working on identifying the core principles that would serve to unify our diverse group. Some housekeeping items from HQ closure: I have a black zip up Weatherproof jacket, one computer, 2 monitors, an older television, a lot of wires, a small black diary, and a Voters Reg card for Brian Francis from Bothell. If you are missing anything you think may have been at the office just let me know. You are welcome to call or email me as well with any questions. Thank you for all you do. Maureen M.
