Would like to know if anyone has experience with raw food diet and if it helped with any ailments. Popular raw foods include carrot, broccoli, cauliflower. However, be careful about how vegetables are grown. I would recommend an organic food store. You may need to search the Internet for a suitable organic / natural foods store near you home. Cheers. The last 3 weeks have been about 80% raw and now I'm 100% raw since March 1..so is my 18 year old daughter. Where do you live? I'min Missouri and it's hard to find raw fresh organic in the middle of winter, but I have found some food at SCHNUCKS markets and Wholefoods. What I've experienced so far is more clarity in thinking, a lot more energy int he afternoon, and over all calming all day long, I'm not hungry, I feel full most of the day, no hunger pains ;-) Weight loss and my eye sight is improving. When I was raw, I searchec raw and living foods and found tons and tons of stuff.... You might consider investing in a food dehydrator also... I think foods cooked under 116 degrees or so are still considered raw... Guest guest Posted March 5, 2009 Report Share Posted March 5, 2009 Oh boy do I have a question for you guys. I have a health challenge with my hip and worn cartilage. Lately I've been eating a raw diet, raw milk eggs, cheese, vegtables and meat. I've heard it all has great regenerative properties but I have also been told to stick with mostly vegitarian stuff because of my A+ blood type. My hip has also been hurting more lately for some reason. Do you think that could be because of the raw meat, cheese, eggs, honey?? Thanks! Some foods are better cooked in terms of releasing their nutrients and others are not. Carrots and sweet potatoes are a good example. If it were not for parasites, raw meat and fish would be far best for you. Certainly, overcooked meat is a very poor choice. Standard Process sells a dried raw organ meat product that is said to be very helpful in rejuvenating the heart muscle. Also, my 80 lb golden retriever is nearly 15 years old as a result of his raw meat diet... about twice the average life span of a dog this size... and going strong. Also, cooked meats and seafoods are extremely hard to digest thereby taxing the pancreas and using up all the digestive and other enzymes, which are also needed in other parts of the body.
