Guest guest
if its due to spurs, taping your feet does wonders.... use a paper type like from the drs office (have found at Meijer's), and tape the bottom from the back to the front, (it will look and feel as if you are walking on tape) but not excessively tight...( I will make more then one cross with the tape) then take a long piece and and tape from one side of the foot starting at the end of the littlest toe(where it attaches to the foot) to the heel and around and ending just behind the biggest toe (where it attaches to the foot) Lu <bluelight59 wrote: Any suggestions for help with heel pain? Guest guest
I had the same issue, this is what I did to fix mine: #1 stop taking any calcium supplement #2 Start taking magnesium #3 Make sure your treadmill is not on incline, it should be as flat as possible #4 When you start back up walk not run for the first few weeks #5 Make sure you stretch your Plantar muscle,, before you run and periodically through-out the day. Good luck I hope this helps! On Behalf Of metrology_guy Saturday, February 07, 2009 6:16 PM << >> Heel Pain As one of my New Years resolutions, I've taken up running again. I swim and bike regularly but running is something I haven't done for over 20 years. I've 6 feet four inches tall and weigh right at 200 lbs so weight should not be the obvious answer to my problem. I purchased new New Balance cross trainers and I run on a treadmill. The result is inflammation in my left heel. I'd prefer not to consume too many Aleve tablets so what course of action would others recommend to overcome this inflammation? BTW I've stopped the running program and my right shin and hips sometimes ache now after long walks. Chris
