Hair analysis is done in a special lab- the naturopath takes a clipping of hair

from the nape of your neck and sends it away to be analyzed- I have been very

impressed- I have had 2 done- 2 years apart and all the nutrients I supplemented

came up from low scores and all the ones I didn't remained the same. It tests

for metals like mercury, tin, nickel cadmium etc, and minerals like calcium,

magnesium etc and gives important ratios between minerals like zinc:copper. I

am feeling so much better (I don't have arthritis) and now I have a personal

guide to show me what I need to supplement in so I am not wasting my time or

money. For me and my son it was an excellent investment. The ELISA blood test

is done with a fingerprick and a few drops of blood- you get back a list of

about 200 foods with ratings of how allergic you are to it. You get the list by

googling. I have not had this done yet as it is about $239 per person in our

family and we are considering the NAET allergy therapy (www.naet.com) as well- I

am just reading about it- got the book from chapters.ca. The books are listed on

that website but are cheaper at chapters.ca I think. I am also going to do Hulda

Clarke's parasite cleanse to see if I feel even better- I think I will. If you

are going to cut out wheat and dairy you should do it for 3 months because it

takes time for the tissues to heal and to notice a difference. Do you snore?

Snoring was an indicator for us on my son's allergies and he got better off

wheat and dairy and with supplements. He was 3 and snored like a mac truck. and

he snored since he was a baby because the proteins from the milk I was drinking

were coming through my breastmilk. I suspected him of having sleep apnea too.

We couldn't believe it when he didn't snore anymore! I would definitely check

out the allergy/arthritis connection and also purge your home of chemicals, air

fresheners, cleaners etc.

Good luck,

Dianne
