Guest guest
Hi, everyone. I haven't yet had any responses to my earlier email, and I've encountered some new questions as well: Intestinal Cleanse #1 says you should finely powder the formula and encapsulate. Is it necessary to encapsulate? That seems like a lot of work to manually fill gelatin capsules. Could you not just add the mix to water and drink? What size gelatin capsules would you use? Also, same question for Intestinal Cleanse #2: What do you use to grind to a fine powder? A mortar and pestle? I don't have one. A blender? Or a coffee grinder? Thanks, and looking forward to feedback so that I can start all this!! OK, so I've been looking at online sources for purchasing herbs. I'm in Canada, so I don't have too many options. The only ones I know about are Richters (www.richters.ca) and Gaia Garden Herbals (www.gaiagarden.ca). Guest guest
Dear Darlene, I use single 0 capsules. You want to use caps because this formula is hotter than Frying pan due to the Habanero Cayenne used. A Vita_Mix is excellent for powdering. :-) In Health and Love, Doc Doc Shillington727-447-5282Doc - ndgoodman herbal remedies Monday, November 14, 2005 11:53 AM Herbal Remedies - [Fwd: making Cleanses #1 and #2 and L/G/P tea and K/B tea - lots of questions!] Hi, everyone. Guest guest
Hi Darlene, I don't know about making stuff yourself, as I normally buy it ready-made. But... I do know that Doc supplies IC#1 in capsules (only one of his products) because of the tremendous heat of the product. This is also the reason why you take it with a meal, as on an empty stomach this would be very uncomfortable. So, yes you CAN take it as powder but I don't think you'd want to LOL love Lisa - ndgoodman herbal remedies Monday, November 14, 2005 4:53 PM Herbal Remedies - [Fwd: making Cleanses #1 and #2 and L/G/P tea and K/B tea - lots of questions!] Hi, everyone. Guest guest
A small seed/coffee grinder can be bought at a Bed,Bath, and Beyond store for about $15. This is what we use for grinding everything.. -- In herbal remedies , <ndgoodman@m...> wrote: > > Hi, everyone. Guest guest
Hi, Doc & all: > " Dr. Ian Shillington " <DocShillington > You want to use caps because this formula is hotter than Frying pan due to the Habanero Cayenne used. Thank you so much for your advice! Perhaps you, or someone else can comment on one of my earlier questions: I cannot find Habanero Pepper or African Bird Pepper...can Cayenne Pepper be used instead? There are a couple options: 40,000 HU, 90,000 HU, and 180,000 HU. Which one would be best? For Intestinal Cleanse #2, is Activated Willow Charcoal the same thing as Activated Charcoal? And is there a difference between Slippery Elm Bark (Ulmus rubra) and Slippery Elm Inner Bark? For the Liver/Gallbladder/Pancreas tea, it calls for Uva Ursi Leaf. Is this the same as Uva Ursi (Arctostaphylos uva ursi)? Also, I can't seem to find Parsley Root anywhere?! For the Kidney/Bladder Tea, I also can't find Parsley Leaf. Thank you in advance for all the advice! Darlene
