I REALLY do hope to make it there this year, but right now my life and location are very up in the air - (I've got my house up for sale and will be moving to TX as soon as it sells - whenever that is ...) It is the day after my b-day so maybe I can convince hubby to make it a b-day trip for me even if we are in mid move! ;-p Kathleen and Butch will be there! The three day format includes an optional day of field trips on Friday to a choice of various places of interest in and around the city of Tucson. Those include- Bisbee, AZ www.bisbeearizona.com Kartchner Caverns www.pr.state.az.us/parkhtml/kartchner.html Biosphere 2 www.bio2.edu/ Sonoran Desert Museum www.desertmuseum.org Last year the group voted to go to Kartchner Caverns, and had a great time! (Some of us had to work that day! But we know better THIS year!) The Aromatic Un-Conference itself will be held on Saturday and Sunday, and these days will include several open discussions on a number of topics important to the Aromatherapy community today. We are happily accepting emails with topic ideas, and these will be voted on by the attendees before the Un-Conference weekend. We also have two speakers who are good enough to treat us to their knowledge and expertise. They are Butch Owen of Appalachian Valley/Anatolian Treasures www.av-at.com and Barbara Lucks, who has been conducting a study of the use of the EO Vitex for women with hormonal imbalances due to PMS and Menopausal conditions. Fees for attendees are $50.00 for Saturday and Sunday if you are registered before August 15th. Those registering after August 15th will pay $100.00. We want to encourage you to register early. If we find that we do not have enough people registered before the 15th to make it worth our speaker's while, we reserve the right to cancel the weekend and refund fees.
