Guest guest
I am considering expanding my herbal services to include one of the commercial herb cooking machines. I would love some advice/feedback from anyone who has purchased a machine and what problems you have had, distributors, ect. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Bob, I saw quite a few herbal cooking machines when I was in China and South Korea. Apparently, the ones from China come in from South Korea, so I checked them out when I was there. They start from the basic models to the more sophisticated automatic versions which steam the herbs in stone bowels then boiled and can cook a bucket load in 45 mins. Weighing 10 tons and costing a few thousand dollars, well more like 8-10, plus the filters and packers, its a nice piece of kit. The only problem with the sophisticated machines is the cooking of separate herbs and minerals, like it doesn't take into account cooking extra or longer. Very odd. Anyway, have misplaced the companies web site, was called mediset or something like that. They even have an office in the States somewhere. Will try and dig it out of the haystack when I have time. Otherwise, try your luck with the archives, its in there somewhere, about this time last year I reckon. Guest guest
Bob: We may have had this conversation last year, in any case, there are a number of commercial models available in Guangzhou. Base rices range from 12,000 Ren Min Bi to 32,000 RMB, then you need to figure on shipping, customs, and commission as well. If you look in the files section of the Electro Acupuncture group, there is a file called " decoction machine. " That gives you an idea of what is available, and there are other models in the same range. If you'd like to go this way, please email me off-list.
