Hi.

I'm from Brazil, and a got a patient going on Lyme desease. It begun about 18

months ago.

It' s a very rare disease here in Brazil.

Man, 45 , single, university teacher.

Previously, his energetic syndrome was related with deficient Spleen and

dampness. By the time he got Lyme, this syndrome was under control.

Nowadays, besides damp, his simptons are like deficient Qi and Xue. 60

pulses/min. pale tongue. One month later some pale red, about 1cm marks apeared

on his leg. Doc says it is autoimune reaction.

If u could give me some hint on herbs, or any other help, I apreciate.

Tks, Roberta

Hi Roberta!

This is not TCM, but since it is an infection I would try time release

vitamin C pills in large dosage, as much as he can take without

diarrhea. This would most likely be 2000 to 3000 mg every 3 to 4 waking

hours. If he wakes up at night, take some then, too.

This will most likely do it, I have never heard of it not working

whenever it has been tried on any kind of infection. I have often made

this suggestion and the patient did not try it, however.

It has to be time release to take a large dose. Regular will go right

through without having time to absorb.

Regards,

Pete

Hi Again Roberta!

Reading that link to the Canadian site I have another thought. If you do

the vitamin C thing on him and he gets better, don't stop the vitamin C

altogether. Keep him taking about 2000 mg 3 or 4 times a day for the

conceivable future, the rest of his life even. The " lymers " hide in the

skin and joints to escape the immune system or antibiotics and then come

out again when the coast is clear. If you keep a high level of immune

activity this will hold them down forever.

Doc said autoimmune reaction but in the light of the Canadian website

that could just be a party line. I am not sure I believe in autoimmune

at all, I think autoimmune is just a disharmony of one kind or another.

Regards,

Pete
