The ANH launches its new website in the New Year

Good news! This is quite possibly the last time you will receive an

eBlast from the ANH in this antiquated format. Our new updated and

upgraded website that we've been promising you for months will

finally be launched before the end of January 2007 and we think that

you will find it much changed for the better. A totally new look and

feel that's a lot easier on the eye, with a full search function and

plenty of graphics, plus many other benefits – we can hear the

audible sighs of relief from many of you.

A seasonal offer from the ANH and Integrated Health (formally The

Alternative) Magazine

Some of you in the UK might be aware that since the first quarter in

2006 The ANH has had a regular column in Integrated Health (formally

named The Alternative) that alternates between Drs Rob Verkerk and

Damien Downing.

As a gesture of goodwill the team from Integrated Health have

pleasure in giving ANH supporters, from anywhere in the world, a new

FREE digital copy of the magazine!

A call for help from New Zealand

A critical issue in health freedom is developing in New Zealand which

urgently needs your support. The New Zealand Health Trust are in the

home straight of a very long marathon opposing the Trans-Tasman

Harmonisation, where the risk is that you will see the innovative New

Zealand industry dumbed down to the same level as the medicalised

Australian one. They only have a very short window of a few weeks to

have their influence felt one last time before the die is cast.

The New Zealand media, much like the US , is very heavily funded by

pharma advertising and as such is less sympathetic to the health

freedom cause. One way they have found to get around this is to run

and ad campaign with prominent messages in the national papers, but

this takes money. This strategy has proved extremely beneficial,

evident in the fact that the Government managed to get the numbers it

needed for the " Therapeutic Products and Medicines Bill " to pass its

first reading by 61 votes to 60! This is a very tense issue.

The New Zealand Health Trust is asking for donations of at least £3,

$6 US, €5 to the New Zealand Health Trust to help them fund their

last run of advertising before the final vote. The count down is on –

it's all over on 7th February 2007 – please let's all pull an oar

and row this boat as one. Read on for a message from the New Zealand

Health Trust:

" Health Freedom fighters in many countries are doing what they can to

raise the level of awareness about CODEX and what that means to

health freedoms. Specifically they are trying to prevent governments

passing legislation that will restrict access to natural health

products and generally curtail health freedoms.

New Zealanders are involved in the same battle with our government

trying to get legislation passed that will `harmonise' our regulatory

system with a draconian system already established in Australia.

This legislation would see the establishment of a joint regulatory

authority which would regulate national health products using a

pharmaceutical model.

Public opposition has so far swayed the minor parties until now and

thus the government is not able to get the numbers in the house.

There is however massive lobbying being undertaken from Australia and

in New Zealand and we don't know how long the other political parties

will continue to hold out. As soon as the government believes they

have the `numbers they will go all out to pass the legislation.

We have in mind a well coordinated nationwide media campaign

involving advertising and PR. Such a campaign is capable of

achieving what individuals and activist groups have not been able to

do, achieving a critical mass of public support which will send a c

lea r message to politicians.

In our country elections can be won and lost on one issue and with

the polls c lea rly indicating that health is most important issue

for New Zealanders c lea rly there is a huge opportunity to influence

public opinion.

If we can win one battle we can win two. News travels and our success

could become your success. With the support of our col lea gues from

around the world we are confident that we can win.

We are asking you to join us aboard one of the last `lifeboats' on

the planet, in a world sinking under the burden of an unsustainable

healthcare model based on diseasecare.

By `pulling on an oar' in our lifeboat you can to help us implement

our vision to have New Zealand lea d the world in healthcare a system

where health means wellness.

Our campaign is known as `Give Us 5 to bring the dream alive'. "

And finally....

2006 has been an extremely busy and, at times, challenging year and

we have no doubt that 2007 will see further expansion and impact of

the ANH campaign as we move into the most critical phase of health

freedom work the world has yet seen. The balance between

pharmaceutically-dominated healthcare and one which is based on free

choice and natural products is a very fine one. The pressure, we

believe, required to push it the 'right' way is less than you might

think. We are at the tipping point now, please help us in anyway you

can to safeguard all of our futures.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your

continuing support, donations and contributions throughout the year & #8722;

without you we'd not be able to continue this work and we are

sincerely grateful.

We trust that you will all be having a break and wish you a healthy,

peaceful and above all, joy-filled holiday season.

We are looking forward to working with you again in 2007 and in the

words of our colleagues from New Zealand , rowing this boat as `One'.

Till 2007, in health as always

The ANH Team
