You sound like a very busy lady. I've taught some simple soap making classes and that was exciting. Getting ready to teach a whole diploma level course must have you all wound up with anticipation, excitement and a touch of anxiety (at least it would me <grinz>) *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com janeindorset [jane] Hello. I've (I hope) just joined the group. I'm an aromatherapist and live on the Dorset coast (South West England). I'm an IFPA and IGPP member and trained with Essentials for Health in London in 1995-97. As well as my hands-on practice, I've worked for essential oil suppliers for years and now have my own little business importing just a few EOs and hydrolats - direct from producers. I lived in France for years (my Mum still does) and speak French. In 2002 I met some great people on a trip to Provence and couldn't resist importing their products. I sell these by mail order (mostly to friends/contacts in aromatherapy) and at the local weekly farmers' market. I also dabble (for my own use only so far) in 'natural' body/skincare products and in October I will be teaching an Aromatherapy diploma course for the first time - scary! I look forward to sharing ideas and info. Jane

Guest guest
My daughter had a failing kidney. She did Doc’s program, and her kidney is coming back to life. Doc told her he had a guy on dialysis who did his program and had 100% recovery. Naturopathy is the way to go. Good luck!!! royboogie [royboogie] Sunday, January 16, 2005 6:28 PM herbal remedies Herbal Remedies - New Member Greetings all. To get right to the point, I am a 35 yr. old male, who is currently on Peritoneal Dialysis for Chronic Kidney Disease. My doctors are telling me I inherited this disease because my mother is on the same thing, although I did have high blood pressure for a sustained period of time before I was diagnosed with CKD. I was also several pounds overweight. After a year or so on dialysis, I drastically altered my diet by eliminating anything " white or used to be white " as per instructions by my doctor. After some months of this, I have lost a total of 120 lbs. I can't eat anywhere near what the amount of food I used to be able to. I am now ready to make the next step. I have looking for only Organic Foods to consume and drastically reduced my sugar intake. I still can't get rid of the coffee and teas yet. I have ordered Doc's tape. I was reading through the files at the Energy formula and it says to make a Tincture with 50/50 distilled water and alcohol. What alcohol is this talking about. Actual drinking alochol? These recipes are really interesting, especially the ones for the Kidney/Liver cleansings. Has anyone here been in a similar condition to mine and have you met with any success? Guest guest
Hi House Elf! Welcome aboard. I hope you like it here. There are a lot of really great folks here who have a plethora of knowledge that they graciously and willingly share! There is a recipe for Spring Fling Body Butter in the groups Recipe files (in the toiletry recipes folder) http://health. In that recipe I don't have any cornstarch or any other kind of starch similar to that, which some folks do add to their body butters to make the body butter less greasy feeling, so if you wanted, just know that you can add a bit of a starch to the recipe ... I'll try to get some more recipes in there soon. We're working on getting the recipes folder built up some more ***hint hint folks *** *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com On Behalf Of House_elf2 Hello everyone! I am happy to have found this group. Herbs are fascinating to me. They provide wonderful scents and flavors, and contain healing properties. Most are easy to cultivate, and look beautiful in the garden. I have found that people who like herbs and their culture are usually kindred spirits. I would love to find a recipe for a scented body butter, not too oily. There is undoubtedly an archived recipe, so if anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful. Thank you!
