Guest guest
I don't remember the recipe so I can say what it's supposed to look like or the smell, but for the straining I have something that I use. When I strain any infused oil or tincture that I used powdered herbs in or I want to be sure that there is no sediment or particles, I use a jelly strainer. Mine is collapsible. It's a metal ring with 3 legs that screw in and are adjustable to any bowl. It comes with a muslin bag that has a drawstring. I pour the liquid in bag and let strain. Resist the urge to squeeze the bag to get every last drop as it might push through very small sediment you don't want for finished product. It has helped me out in many cases. I got mine at a fancy kitchen gadget store. Best of luck. Have a wonderful day. Guest guest
He he I just strained mine- and it is not so muddy- A great way to strain such potions is a coffee filter- I use one of the re usable gold types... yep - the valerian smells! Mine smells a lot like cinnamon, though- perhaps a good Lavandin?
