Dear Phil

I am an acupuncturist and a homoeoapth from Cork

I would advise taking the child to a good chinese herbalist and a homoepath.

If you look up the Irish Society of Homoeopaths in the Golden Pages you will

find a homoeopath in your area and you could also ask them to recommend one

with experience in the field of autism or someone who specialises in

kids. Also a trip to a nutrionalist would help. Cranial Osteopathy is

excellent also.

If that littile boy was mine that is what I would do. I would marry all of

the treatment s synergistically. That is often what I do inmy practise and

get positive results.

Hello to all,

Dr. Michael Smith of the NADA (national acupuncture detox association) fame gave

an interesting presentation on the use of magnetic bead and shen men. Apparently

he has been using one magnetic bead on the shen men point on the ear to help

with autistic behavior. The early reports were that the childrens behavior and

social behavior changed dramaticly for the better.

Hope this helps

Phil,

The most common patterns associated with Autism are:

- Qi deficiency

- Kidney Deficiency

- Shen Disturbance

I am an acupuncturist and have completed a Masters program in Medical Qigong.

Given the young age of the boy Medical Qigong might be easier for him to handle,

with needles also used occasionally - inserted but not retained for any length

of time.

I'm happy to treat him - no charge. I cannot give a prognosis, but believe that

at the very least TCM can improve his condition.

Kind regards

Dermot

Autism in Children

Hi All,

A Dublin doctor.has just diagnosed autism in a boy of circa 2 years-

old. He is the firstborn of his parents, who are devastated. They are

personal friends of mine.

I saw this child only 2 weeks ago and never suspected a thing. The

boy looked happy and behaved normally, except that he did play a

lot alone and spoke little.

I would appreciate suggestions (off list) on:

1. Diagnosis: Best person / clinic for an expert second diagnostic

opinion. The boy's parents may agree to travel abroad if only a

short stay is needed for expert assessment.

2. Best treatments: What approaches would you suggest to treat

autism, assuming that it was a child whom you loved.

3. Prognosis: What are the odds of success in the longterm?

Best regards,

A hour a day of sunlight on the face, without

sunscreen/sunglasses, stimulates the pituitary, the

master gland, which in turn helps a whole mess of

other good things in the body happen. (That's why God

put it behind your eyes: the pituitary needs full

spectrum light to work).

I hope there's an hour of sunlight ANYWHERE in

Ireland: that's the real challenge.
