Hi everybody!

Male, approx 65 yrs old

Overall kidney yin and yang dual vacuity, mainly

shows yang def. Knees sightly weak -> worse in cold,

damp weather, has a back which gives him pain as well,

radiates to left testicle and groin area. Pain is of a

dull, empty nature. Aches. Better with pressure. His

pain is better when he sits and worse when he stands

or lies prone. Constant sitting will aggravate pain as

well.

Two weeks ago he went on a car trip. Was fine (minor

aggravations)until he came back up. He stepped out of

the car at one point and felt that his whole body was

vibrating. He said it felt more like the ground was

vibrating and he had to walk on it. Thsi happened on

two different occassions, both of which were after he

stood. He went to the hospital, everything checked

out.

His tongue is generally pale pink, light red at tip,

with a medium gloss. After this vibrating episode his

tongue had two tiny inflamed tastebuds - one int he

lung area (bright red), the other in the heart area

(purple).

Info on the vibrating please!

Thank you,

Hugo

If the sensation is largely subjective, this can be manifestation of

dizziness due to

weak K qi.

If the sensation is largely objective, this can be manifestation of Wind

invading SP.

Test:

Locate GB 22 on chest and GB 10 on rear of ear and teach him to massage

these points 3 times a day, sitting, 1 after or before meals, for 3 minutes

each point.

If due to any of the 2 conditions above, there will be relief.

Another test:

Have pt lie supine on couch with arms somewhat akimbo.

Palpate GB 22 on chest and see if tender, indurated, sunken, grainy etc.

Place finger on it if some abnormal aspect is found, and don't move it.

Locate GB 10 accurately and massage it for 3 mts.

Test GB 22 to see if tenderness etc has disappeared.

If so, test is +ve and the conclusion is that the illness is born of a K

problem,

with overtones of LV-GB flux.
