Fibromyalgia - on inadvertant aggravation

An aspect of treating FM has always haunted me.

What if one while meaning to heal actually aggravates symptoms?

This seems more possible while treating by 5 E methodology using open horary

5 Shu points, than when treating generically.

Suppose, simplistically, Wood is primary focus, and Fire and Earth are

secondary

stations where symptoms have aggregated.

The obvious option is to destagnate Wood, which is to say, tone it, and

reduce

Earth, esp. it's yang ST where most symptomology will become visible.

And this is done using accurate open points, honed to the last minute.

Here's the rub. What if one, not keeping the sequence in mind, went ahead

and treated

Earth, at myalgic level, where most aches and pain and stiffness will

appear.

Then the sequence is:

a. Tone ST, support SP.

b. This in turn empowers the Metal Son, who does a number on Wood.

c. Aggrieved Wood further stagnates, and oppresses SP Earth.

d. As a consequence the myalgia is aggravated, and one might even

precipitate an episode.

The key would seem to do a bi-phasal approach, toning one pole while

sedating the other,

ending up with a balance.

In which case treating FM is really causing a balance; this in opposition to

taking care

of obvious symptoms.

An extension of the same thought: in FM, don't treat the symptoms.

Weird.
