Guest guest
Hi Does anyone have experience with patients (or self) using Dr. Katu Tateishi's Veggie broth recipes? I have a patient who swears it helped cure her cancer. Just looking for more evidence before sharing it with others. Link is below. Guest guest
I'm skeptical of claims that promise so much & supposedly suitable for everyone despite how different our bodies are. It's one reason we're encouraged to see a reputable Traditional Oriental Medicine practitioner rather than trying to come up with our own concoction. Training to be a good doctor in this field takes many years. That said, I looked up more about Kazu Tateishi (not Katu). He's NOT a doctor & never took any training. He was a taxi driver before he tacked the Dr. on his name & starting selling the soup. Because he practiced medicine, examining & prescribing for patients, he was charged & jailed. Okay, that would make me skeptical right there but a comment on the website you gave the link to made me question him even more. It said that his stomach & duodenum had already been removed & now the cancer has spread to his lungs so he " researched, studied and tested over 1,500 kinds of herbs/plants. Eventually he discovered the right combination of ingredients... " If cancer has already metastasized, how long would be have had before he could research, study AND test over 1,500 plants? He was able to do this in such a short time before he'd die from the spreading cancer? Admittedly, the ingredients are innocuous but I can think of a number of other plants that would correspond to the organs by colour better & I'm no expert! And colour isn't the only thing that matters in the 5 Element Theory! I can't see this soup being harmful - it actually doesn't sound bad. But healing? And as he claimed, killing individual cancer cells within a few hours? I'm waiting to see what someone like Al Stone says about this. I'm really with you on all counts. This diet is benign, but the claims are based on a simplistic understanding of cancer. Also, he doesn't seem to be selling anything on the page in question, so I let it through to this list, but otherwise, it doesn't move me too much at least medically speaking. > > > Judy > > On Friday 31 July 2009 08:36:00 Twyla wrote: > > Does anyone have experience with patients (or self) using Dr. Katu > > Tateishi's Veggie broth recipes?
