Guest guest
No, the information in my protocol is what I intended. It is mg NOT mcg. Many people who take iodine and selenium take far too little for maximum therapeutic benefit. Both elemental iodine and potassium iodine should be taken and the total amount of iodine should be 100mg or more, perhaps beginning at 50mg and working up. Magnascent is a good form or elemental iodine. Lugols is also widely used. Since Lugols contains both elemental iodine and potassium iodine, the total amount of iodine one can take with Lugols is 300 mg. Granted, that is a LOT of iodine; however, the protocol is a cancer fighting protocol, not one intended to merely correct iodine deficiency. Iodine, taken with sufficient selenium and potassium, is a potent cancer fighter. Most people are deficient in iodine to begin with, and those who take it for therapeutic benefits tend to take far too little. For proper guidance and advice, I recommend the two following CureZone forums: Iodine Supplementation Ask Trapper Once the cancer has been beaten, maintenance amounts would naturally be smaller. oleander soup , "jrrjim" <jim.mcelroy10 wrote:>> I just reviewed Tony's Natural anti-Cancer protocol, and I'm a little > confused on the iodine. Guest guest
Tony is correct, I believe, in the amounts of iodine he's recommending for cancer patients. I would take half his doses as a normal healthy person but it wouldn't worry me. The question of how much is 'a lot' depends on assumptions. Take vitamin C - official recommendations are for 60mg while I assume 3,000 mgs to be a standard input and I'm quite happy to go up to 30,000 mgs or more if I have a flu brewing.JonathanJonathan Chamberlain www.fightingcancer.com--- On Wed, 1/7/09, Bob Banever <bbanever wrote:Bob Banever <bbaneverRe: Re: Tony's info on iodine - it is indeed MG and not MCGoleander soup Date: Wednesday, January 7, 2009, 6:50 AM Tony, Well then I stand corrected... but that is still alot of iodine. Guest guest
Your dosage for iodine greatly interests me Tony. Some time ago I had a hair analysis done and this showed me to be well down on iodine. Results came back at ug/g 0.27 with a recommended range of 0.25 - 1.3 - not sure just what all this means but I'm sure the range suggested will be well on the low side if current medical thinking is anything to go by. I had hoped to be boosting my iodine by taking Lugols but from what I've been reading the best Lugols available her in New Zealand is very weak. Stated dose is one drop daily which is 250MCG. I've made enquiries regarding a stronger supply but have been told by several pharmacists that the health authorities will not allow it. What I should like to ask is, can anyone help me with a supplier of a suitable Lugols solution in the States who ships internationally? Shipping to our part of the world is prohibitive so guess a tablet form would be cheaper than liquid. Thanks for any advice given.
