Guest guest
The chemicals in sunscreens work by absorbing the sun before it can do supposed harm to your body. However the sun will cause these very chemicals to break down and create free radicals (and we all know what free radicals cause) The truth is, when a country introduces chemical sunscreens to its population, the skin cancer rates always go up - never down. Three of the four chemicals used in sunscreens in the US are already banned in Europe for being carcinogenic.amd they are looking at banning the forth. Tanning is your body's natural defense against sunburn By always using sunscreen you are interfering with your body's own protection system. If you must be out in the sun for an extended period of time -covering up with hats and clothing are much safer than chemical sunscreens. Also useful on occasion are sunblocks such as zinc oxide and titanium oxide (as long as they are not nano particals). These are minerals that sit on the surface of the skin and reflect the sun away from the body. Be wary of the other ingredients in these creams though as many chemicals in traditional body care products are toxic. There is a company in Australia that just came out with a certified organic product that should be available the beginning of August. Check it out at www.blissfullyorganic.com or email me for more info. Also helpful and safe is the naked mineral cosmetic line with an SPF of 15 in their foundations (www.itvventures.com/bliss) http://organicandhealthy.blogspot.com/ www.blissfullyorganic.com Helping to heal the planet one person at a time Sick sense of humor?
