Guest guest
For me I have found that I can usually go quite a while on my raw veggies (large salad for a meal), although there are definitely times, especially on the cleanse, when my metabolism just kicks into HIGH GEAR and I can't possibly eat enough! Always hungry!! LOL! Did this just change recently for you Candace, or has it been the whole time you're on the cleanse? Guest guest
I found i was really really hungry all the time. Couple of things to do: Bulk up your salads or veggie wraps with stuff like avocado, diced sprouted almonds or other sprouted nuts or seeds and other sprouts. Almond CHEESE!!!!!!! on everything well, in moderation. This and hte egg in the TN Drink were the two things that got my DH through the cleanse. You can spread it on sandwhiches in veggie tacos, have some on a sprouted cracker or on celery or carrot sticks. HUMMUS!!!!!!!! (reminds me i have sprouted garbanzos waiting) HUmmus is just like almond cheese and Guacamole, you can use it on all kinds of stuff or just as a veggie dip. Hope that helps! hang in there Sylvia herbal remedies , " Candace Podratz " <CandaceAndBrock@w...> wrote: > To those of you who eat lots of raw veggies.... do you find you're hungry ALL THE TIME!?! > Boy, I just ate appx an hour and a half ago and my stomach is growling like crazy! Guest guest
OOPS... i figured that went without saying! LOL OK Candace... HUMMUS 2 cups sprouted Chickpeas (aka Garbanzo beans) (Soak 12 to 18 hours then sprout for 2 days) 1/2 cup fresh minced parsley 1/4 to 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice 1 to 5 cloves of minced raw garlic 1/4 sesame tahini ( i have yet to find sprouted, but you can find toasted which means inhibitors are dead) 1/2 to 1/2 half cup Olive Oil 1 1/2 tsp celtci sea salt (or more or less to taste) I find i have the best results by using a food processor rather than a blender. Pulse chickpeas and garlic until corse meal. add lemon juice, parsley, salt and tahini, process until blended and semi-smooth. While processor is on, slowly add olive oil through feed tube, drizzling over mixture as it blends. It will start to take on a creamy testure. when half the oil is used, stop and check mixture for texture and flavor. if it is too course/grainy, add more olive oil following previous instruction and blend until smooth. Guest guest
Hmmm I'm growing sunflowers in my garden, was going to give the seeds to the birds because I didn't know what to do with them. So basically you just take seeds and soak them, let them sit til they grow arms and then eat them? Do you actually need sprouting materials or can't you just lay them on something to dry? Guest guest
you can use a jar to sprout Candace. An old spaghetti sauce jar works good. after soaking seeds, beans or whatever... plae in the jar and then cover the mouth of the jar with a piece of cheese cloth and a rubber band. Rinse at least 2 times a day. Sunflower seeds will drow tails pretty quick, i find they need a bit more frequent rinsing than other things. I've seen sprouts int he HFS that are long and green (Sunflower Greens) I'd guess they were growing for a week or longer. Some people are partial to Pea greens too which are just sprouted peas.
