Hi.

A friend of mine is suffering from what I believe to be PSTD. She has all the

symptoms for it. I am posting to look for help for her.

She does not want to take any chemical prescription medications and she is done

with seeing therapists.

But I think support groups or simply someone to talk with in emails would help.

You may email me directly if you would like. Otherwise, I will be checking back

in here every few days for responces.

Thank you much.

Read books by Daniel Amen, MD. He says PTSD is associated with excessive

activity in the anterior cingulate gyrus area of the brain. Ways to calm the

excessive activity include intense aerobic exercise, distraction, 5-HTP, St.

John's Wort, and inositol. (He also talks about medications and counseling.) His

later books lean more toward the natural approaches than his earlier ones. He

was recommended to me by my chiropractor and I find good information in his

books if I ignore the medication parts.

Acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine are the best for back pain.

You can do dietary therapy on yourself, also qigong, yoga or tai chi.

I would recommend black beans, black chicken, black rice, black sesame,

walnuts, red grapes, goji, shitake, sprouts, organic eggs, organic kidneys

and liver (see if you can find an organic butcher.) Raspberries and

raspberry tea.

people have been using dogs for PTSD. The dogs are trained for each individual

circumstance and do things like bodyblock in crowds, stabilize in case of

dizziness, etc. I can give some contacts if this person is interested.
