Just been diagnosed with porphyria and chlamydia pneumoniae.

I've been told by even alternative practitioners that the ONLY way to

treat the chlamydiae P. is with 6-18 months of antibiotics.

I never take antibiotics, and am also afraid that they could trigger

porpyria.

Does anyone know of anything natural that has succesfully treated

chlamydia pneumoniae?

How about natural tx for porphyria?

Thanks,

J.

Re Chlamydia:  I'd go on the two week prescribed anti-biotic....it's the only

way to get rid of it.  You really don't want to mess with 'trying' to fix

chlamydia " a la naturale "

I don't know anything about porphyria...

Here are some links I looked up for porphyria:

Adenosine

monophosphate (AMP) is a substance made in the body that is also

distributed as a supplement, although it is not widely available. According to

one report, 90% of people with porphyria cutanea tarda responded well to 160 to

200 mg of AMP per day taken for at least one month.7 Complete

alleviation of photosensitivity occurred in about half of the people who took

AMP.

Hope this helps a little! You can try looking up on google: porphyria herbs,

porphyria natural remedy, porphyria natural healing, etc. And just

cross-reference, in other words, if two or three different sources have gotten

good results with the same thing, you might feel more confident in that,

okay?Love to you,Marilyn

One good piece of advice that I can give you is this:

No matter what kind of bacteria, virus, germ, etc. nested in your body, you must

strength your immune system to get rid of it.

One way is to take massive doses of probiotics and colloidal silver, astragalus,

raw vegetables and fruits, water and lemon, and rest as much as possible.

Blessings,

Rena

I do not believe that prescription (or over the counter) drugs are the only way

to get rid of anything. There have been zillions of people in the history of the

world and probably billions on earth now that never used antibiotics and are

healthier than most of us. There are many, many natural and effective ways to

maintain and restore health. Homeopathy, herbs, lifestyle, light, sound, color,

energy, diet, prayer, chiropractic, massage, intention, attitude, immunics, etc,

etc, etc.

Do the research, choose the ones that feel right to you, and try them. Get help

from an alternative practitioner if you need to. You will be amazed.

Perhaps you are correct, but the damage chalamydia can do to the reproductive

organs, possibly rendering a woman sterile if not taken care of.

I've practiced homeopathy and herbal medicine for over 20 years; and 'my

opinion' is that 'sometimes' allopathic medicine is needed.  I don't think any

of us deny that.

One more thought; you are right!  There are millions of people in the history of

the world that never took anti-biotics....AND, the life span of the human race

is now longer than it use to be.  Moot subject actually.

Anyway; Alternative Medicine as we all refer to would (again my opinion) be

better labeled " Complimentary Medicine " .

Without allopathic medicine many people would die and suffer needlessly.  There

is a balance in all things...in medicine also.

If choosing an alternative to anti-biotic treatment for chlamydia I would

certainly be closely monitored and tested to make sure the 'chosen treatment'

was effective.

Warm regards,

Max
