Guest guest
Hi, I frequently suffer from gas, causing me to burp often, which is also rather embarrassing. These are also accompanied with a headache, which sometimes can last a couple of days. I avoid all forms of medicines, and try to ride this out, usually by cutting down on food intake, almost going into a fast. I would appreciate if someone can advice me a long term solution, as well as if there are any home remedies I can use as a short term fix when these attacks occur. Thanks Khushroo
Guest guest
I read that excessive burping is due to a toxic liver. I munch on a few caraway seeds to prevent gas .. you could make tea from it too, , kdubash <kdubash wrote: > > Hi, > > I frequently suffer from gas, causing me to burp often, which is also rather embarrassing. Guest guest
I think the above suggestions are good, but I would also suggest that you try a good probiotic supplement as I've found my own gas, stomache upset issues have seriously lessened from taking one. I have suggestions for an excellent one if you want one. Good luck Jenn

Khushroo, Activated Charcoal Capsules work very well for gas related problems. I presently have " Solaray " 280 mg. caps. in my medicine cabinet for use when needed. Activated charcoal is the only ingredient. Jean
Guest guest
Thanks everyone I spoke to my doc about this today and she seems to think nearly every script I take is the cause. So I guess I'll have to live with it. Terri Sullivan Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search.
Guest guest
Arghh...don't believe that! No health ailment is permanent - I've been told the same thing with fertility (I'd never have children and now have two I had no trouble conceiving) and Raynoid's (which I've cured with diet). Once you believe your doctor's sentence to ill health, it WON't get better. Keep searching for what works for you. I don't want to advertise on the board, but I do have a suggestion I think WILL work. Email me if you would like. Peace, Jenn

Guest guest
Hi there, Probiotics are bacteria that are beneficial to our overall health. Bacteria that assist us in our vital body functions such as digestion, absorption, assimilation and elimination. Pro - or Good bacteria as they are sometimes known as are also very helpful for our immune systems. Pathogenic bacteria are everywhere (the bad guys). These are the ones that cause illness in our bodies. In a state of health, the probiotic bacteria in our bodies outnumber (and keep in check) the bad bacteria (or pathogens). But with all the chemicals/toxins in our foods, the antibacterial soaps, antibiotics...etc. Both the bad and the GOOD bacteria get wiped out. To stay in optimal health, we really do need to be constantly replenishing with probiotic bacteria. In older times, our soils were better and we would have got more probiotics natually through fresher foods and fermented foods in general. To take a look at the one I use and recommend https://radiantorganics.mionegroup.com/product/15101 This is actually a superfood and can be replaced by other green supplements. I take 1 tsp each morning in a banana smoothie and have never had such good health. I have lots of energy and don't get sick. I'm happy to answer any more questions you may have. Guest guest
Just a comment on the activated charcoal. That stuff is great - will clean you right out, but it will take along with it everything you just put in your body, including vitamins, prescription drugs, etc. So you do want to be careful with the charcoal. It's good in an emergency situation. Have you thought of changing doctors? Find a holistic doctor. Because if you are going to a " mainstream " doctor, he probably knows nothing about nutrition. I second the motion for enzymes - make sure they are plant-based and make sure they are microblended with a whole food that will supply minerals (enzymes don't work without minerals). And make sure they will work through a whole range of pH levels. This is the one I use, and it has 13 different enzymes in it including one that is exclusive to this brand that works in a very low pH - http://tinyurl.com/ey8l - Do the " pudding test " to make sure your enzymes are working. Probiotics for sure - again you want one that is microblended with a whole food that acts like a PREbiotic (food for the probiotics) - this is the strongest one on the market - http://tinyurl.com/6gzqa - and it has " starter nutrients " right in there. Guest guest
Having spent quite a bit of time learning about probiotics (I suffered from gas and digestive problems for years), I have a few words about the above mentioned suggestions. Although yogurt and kefir do contain probiotics, I've come to realize that many of them are quite wimpy strains of bacteria that actually die either before the hit out stomachs or else when they encounter stomach acid conditions. So, the best probiotics are those that have been stressed to different conditions, like acid, heat, cold, chlorine (cause you might take with tap water), etc... and only the strong bacteria that survive the stresses are cultured and in this way a super strong strain of bacteria is created. In the end, I have found that you get what you pay for. I see so many people complain about the cost of organic foods, etc. and then they think nothing of paying for prescription drugs to heal their ailments and trips to the docs (even holistic ones). Imagine not HAVING to go to the doc in the first place! Let me know if I can help any more All the best, Jenn http://www.TheOrganicFreedomMovement.com

This way, there is little or no starch and fermentable fiber in the diet, which are primarily responsible for intestinal gas. > Hi, > > I frequently suffer from gas, causing me to burp often, which is also rather embarrassing.
