INTENSIVE APITHERAPY COURSE TO BE HELD IN TORONTO

Three-day training to focus on health benefits of bee hive products

 

(Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Oct. 9, 2005) - Beginning Saturday,

November 19, an internationally-known expert on " Apitherapy, " the

therapeutic use of bee hive products, will offer a three-

day " Intensive Apitherapy Course-Level 1 " in Toronto, Canada, as an

overview of the health benefits provided by honey, propolis, bee-

collected pollen, beeswax, drone larvae extract, and royal jelly.

(Propolis is a resinous substance collected by bees from plants and

trees and is used to coat the inside of the beehive and the

honeycomb cells with an antiseptic layer. Royal jelly is a substance

produced by young worker bees and fed to queens).

 

Stefan Stangaciu M.D., a specialist in family medicine and president

of the German Apitherapy Society, will be joined by Katrina

Brudzyski, a scientist at Bee-Biomedicals, and Annie VanAlten, owner

of Annie's Apitherapy (a division of Dutchman's Gold Honey), to

discuss the therapeutic properties and use of hive products in

treating medical conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS),

arthritis, non-healing wounds, and ulcers.

 

Dr. Stangaciu, a native of Romania, has presented scientific papers

on Apitherapy at more than 100 conferences, seminars and workshops

in 34 countries.

 

The introductory-level course is designed for beekeepers, practicing

or beginning Apitherapists, health care professionals, and patients

who wish to learn about the healing properties of hive products.

A " Certificate of Apitherapy Knowledge-Level 1 " will be issued to
