Here is his story: Date Line May 6, 2005

 

My name is Jake Fehr and I am from Ontario, Canada.

My three year old daughter was erroneously diagnosed

with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Cancer about 1 month

ago. Since then she has undergone 1 week of chemo

while at the same time we added Glyconutrients, and

then on the seventh day, they repeated a second bone

marrow test and it showed zero cancer. Now, after

another bone marrow test, it still showed zero cancer.

 

Our question is.....did she actually have cancer to

begin with? By the doctor's own admission, he

acknowledged that chemo breaks down the immune system.

He also says that the immune system fights the

disease. Doctors are quick to condemn nutritional

support as being " not FDA approved " , while they ignore

the fact that chemo, radiation, vaccines and surgery

have never been FDA approved. I chose not to have my

daughter subjected to further toxic treatment, yet the

doctors are insisting that she endure an additional 2

years and 3 months of this dreaded and unwarranted

assault on her tiny body.

 

I called family law lawyers in Ontario and was told

that I have a choice of taking her myself for

treatment or letting Children's Aid take her. I said

" no thank you " and took my family on a trip to Texas.

We were apprehended the same day we arrived because a

well meaning friend in Canada told authorities there

we were endangering Emily by not being in Canada.

Emily was placed under guard at a hospital in Lubbock,

Texas, then a small-town Texas judge ordered that our

parental rights be temporarily terminated even before

we could get an attorney into the courtroom.

 

At the time, I had access to visitation only once a

day with strict security like I was a criminal. At

the time my wife had permission to be with the child

24/7 only while at the hospital under guard. We are

fighting for the freedom to make choices concerning a

health condition that appears to be non existent

according to medical tests.

 

Child Protective Services then flew 3-year-old Emily

back to Canada without us or her birth certificate.

 

Now we are forbidden to even be with our own daughter.

Why?.....

 

Just because we chose not to follow the " medical

counsel " , we are being separated as a family. We

covet your prayers that God's perfect will be seen in

this situation we find ourselves in. Pray that the

Lord will give the right direction as we seek to

provide evidence concerning our case....for CPS

that they will recognize that it is not through

neglect but through love that we have taken this

action we deemed necessary. The truth in our case

certainly shows that we took the necessary steps

to save Emily's life.

 

Our prayers were answered when the Lord gave me the

right contacts needed to be actually heard concerning

this atrocity that plagues our system in denying

parents right over our families. My personal struggle

may be YOURS someday if something isn't done to

prevent and stop the medical battle for the almighty

dollar at the expense of human life (your family's

life). I believe there are thousands of those in this

present day that are fighting this same battle.

Fighting for the family. We can no longer stand still

on matters such as this... Pray for me and my family,

and think with us about how to prevent this from

happening to you or a loved one.

family restored and our baby's health restored has

Even though federal officials have called and promised

investigation in our case, who can be trusted? It

will still take a winning team to restore the horrific

damage inflicted. It will take thousands of dollars

to complete our obligation to the network, and much

more just for the nutritional burden to restore Emily

to health. We thank God that the means are available

through good people like you, and that we will

prevail, with your prayers and financial support. But

don't let it stop with us. We commit to be a part of

the leadership team to be available to you if this

attack knocks down your door.

Even babies getting treated as mentally ill

Prescriptions on the rise even though they haven't been tested on

children

 

Doctors prescribed sedatives and powerful, mood-altering medications

for nearly 700 Ohio babies and toddlers on Medicaid last summer,

according to a Dispatch review of records.

 

There's no doubt that mental health drugs can help troubled

youngsters, whether they're on the government insurance program for

the poor or not. But dozens of advocates, child-welfare workers and

psychiatrists interviewed by The Dispatch question the wisdom of

prescribing potent medications, most of which have never been tested

on kids, for so many young, vulnerable children.

 

``It's shocking, " said Dr. Ellen Bassuk, associate professor of

psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. ``Who's really being helped by

these children being drugged? The babies? Or their caregivers? [Or

Big Pharma]

 

``These medications are not benign; they can have dangerous side

effects and have to be closely monitored. "

 

Federal officials have long required that drugs be screened for

safety in adults. But less than one-fourth have been tested on

children.

 

``Kids are not little adults, " said Dr. Patricia Goetz, assistant

medical director for the state Department of Mental

Health. ``Children's brains are different. They don't fully develop

until after adolescence. "

 

That often leaves doctors with more questions than answers about the

long-term effects of many drugs on children.

 

Physical side effects can range from headaches, nausea and weight

gain to heart attacks, liver damage and sudden death.

 

Psychological effects remain a mystery. But several antidepressants

carry FDA-required warnings that they can increase the risk of

suicide. Some antipsychotics have caused learning problems in 3 to

6 year olds.

 

``It seems a growing number of yesterday's wonder drugs, such as

Adderall, have turned into today's suicide pills, " said Laura

Wissler, a parent advocate for the Mental Health Association of

Summit County.

 

In February, Canada pulled the attention-deficit hyperactivity drug

from the market, saying it was related to 20 sudden deaths. The U.S.

Food and Drug Administration reviewed those deaths last year and

determined Adderall should carry a warning that it not be prescribed

to people with heart trouble.

 

A Westerville woman watched her daughter's high spirits disappear

under the influence of Paxil, which she was taking for anxiety.

 

``The stuff did not work for her, and it was in weaning her after

only two apparently ineffective weeks that we saw the horrifying

effects we now know are typical, " said Lucy, who asked that her full

name not be used, to protect her child's identity.

 

Lucy noticed the drug's effect 2½ years ago, the night of her

daughter's 11 th birthday.........
