Guest guest
I think some one asked last week the difference between TCM, CM and OM. TCM is indeed a sort of " brand name " for what is taught and practiced in the PRC. (Some may think it is a misnomer but that's how we refer to it. It is indeed highly integrative with Western Medicine) is a more generic name for all medicine that came out of China, that still are in China or are now in Japan, Vietnam, or wherever. Oriental Medicine is the above but can also involve the styles and variations of the countries above and may not want to be known as Chinese. (Although the term Oriental is discredited in all fields but our own as being derogative.) this may help a little, doug To speculate whether any of these are more " spiritual " than the others is another story. > " " <attiliodalberto > Re: CM ? > > I'm studying TCM but it seems to be more like PRC CM than TCM. > Syndrome differentiation i believe, only came about in the last 50 > years as leaders tried to modernise CM. > > Attilio >
