I think some one asked last week the difference between TCM, CM and OM.

TCM is indeed a sort of " brand name " for what is taught and practiced

in the PRC. (Some may think it is a misnomer but that's how we refer to

it. It is indeed highly integrative with Western Medicine)

is a more generic name for all medicine that came out

of China, that still are in China or are now in Japan, Vietnam, or

wherever.

Oriental Medicine is the above but can also involve the styles and

variations of the countries above and may not want to be known as

Chinese. (Although the term Oriental is discredited in all fields but

our own as being derogative.)

this may help a little,

doug

To speculate whether any of these are more " spiritual " than the others

is another story.

What is PRC? I so hate it when people expect everybody to understand

their own abbreviation

Hi,

I've been lurking for a bit and haven't introduced myself -- Hi. :) You

all seem to be a wonderful group of people.

I am guessing that PRC is the People's Republic of China.

Wellness and peace to you all. :)

I still does not have a clue what PRC stand for!PJ[sammy Bates]

Do a Google search on PRC and page down until you come across something that rings a bell, like for example:

PRC NewsPRC News Focus on news on, about, and from the Chinese mainland by a guyliving there. November 02, 2003. PRC makes a baby with three parents. ... www.prcnews.com/ - 101k - 3 Nov 2003 - Cached - Similar pages

Maybe even refine your search with PRC TCM:

MOH Press Release Admin Page... Several PRC TCM experts have also been invited to Singapore to adviseMOH on the registration of acupuncturists in 2000 and 2001. ... www.gov.sg/moh/releases/2001/20%20Sep%202001.html - 5k - Cached - Similar

It is quite easy when you get the hang of it, I often use it instead of a dictionary. Just a question of appreciating what Internet resources are out there, and the willingness to give it a try .. ;-)
