Question about Sutherlandia OPC

I'm currently taking Sutherlandia OPC tablets. (It is an Oleander

extract in pill form)

I've been following their suggestion to take 2 twice a day and want to

work up to 6 a day for my condition.

The question I have is that I have to go to the bathroom a lot extra

and I feel a lot like I have a urinary infection. My bowels are also

a simular state.

I know it is the OPC because I ran out about a 3 weeks ago and my

symptoms went away. They resumed when I started taking them again.

Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Thanks,

Carl

Hi Carl,

These are the side effects of taking SutherlandiaOPC, together with

complete instructions on what you should do. I have never heard anyone

having symptoms of a a urinary infection. Did you start at the minimum

dosage and then work up? If not, go back to the minimum dosage and work

up slowly as the symptoms disappear. Actually, if you are having

discomfort, drop back to the minimum dose, work up slowly, and then see

how you feel. Here are the complete instructions from Marc Swanepoel:

(1) Slight nausea

(2) Joint pains

(3) Pain at the tumor site

(4) Slight stomach pain

(5) Some diarrhea during the first 2 weeks or when the daily amount is

increased

(6) Some people get a slight rash on the stomach, back, neck, or upper

body

(7) Some tiredness during the first 10 - 14 days.

Most of the above reactions are detox symptoms and one does not have to

worry about them. Most of them will go away after a short while and, if

not, then one just have to cut back on the dosage for a while as the

body gets used to the mixture. After the first few days, one should

start to feel more energetic and, from the feedback I get, men in their

fifties and later start to feel (and act) more virile.

HIV/AIDS patients should see their CD4 counts go up within 14 - 28 days.

Cancer patients should see their cancer markers go down within 30 - 60

days PROVIDED they do a few other things at the same time as taking the

S/OPC.

These other things are:

(1) Cut back on ALL animal proteins (meat, milk, eggs, yoghurt, fish).

(2) Get rid of stressful situations in your life

(3) Put the traumatic situations in your past behind you otherwise they

will surely kill you.

(4) Go to bed by 10:30 pm

(5) Drink enough water (6 - 8 glasses per day).

(6) Eat lots of fresh fruit as well as vegetables.

(7) Get at least half an hour of direct sun per day

(8) Do the liver cleanse below

5-day liver cleanse.

It is best to have day 4 on a Saturday or at a time when you are staying

at home.

Day 1: Drink 1 liter (4 cups) of apple juice during the day. Eat as

normal otherwise.

Day 2: Drink another liter of apple juice. Eat normally

Day 3: Drink a 3rd liter of apple juice. Eat normally

Day 4: Do not take any sold food after lunch time

6pm - Take one level tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water

8pm - Take another tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water. You

may find that you already have to take a trip to the toilet before the

8pm Epsom salt.

10pm - Mix one half glass of olive oil and three quarter glass of

freshly squeezed grape fruit juice by shaking it very well in a jar with

a lid so that it mixes well and immediately get into bed after drinking

the mixture. You will probably make more than one trip to the toilet

during the night as well as during the next day.

Day 5:

6am: Take another tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water

8am: Take one final tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water.

You will find that many gallstones from the liver will be passed and one

will notice them in the toilet. They will vary in size from about pin

head size to 10mm. Gallstones in the liver are a major cause of many

health problems.

The above liver cleanse can be repeated every month until one finds

that for two months in succession no more gallstones are passed. The

liver will then be clean.

(You can read about this in much more detail in Andreas Moritz's book '

" The liver and gallbladder miracle cleanse " which you can download from

his site at www.ener-chi.com).

The suggested dosages for the liquid and capsules are as follows:

Sutherlandia OPC capsules

Start off by taking 1 capsule with breakfast for 2 days.

Increase dosage to 1 capsule twice per day (2 caps total) with

breakfast and lunch for a further 2 days.

For more serious ailments increase dosage to 2 capsules twice per day

(4 caps total) with breakfast and lunch for 1 month.

If no improvement, increase dosage to 3 capsules twice per day (6

caps total) with breakfast and lunch for 2 months.

Sutherlandia OPC (Liquid)

Start off by taking 5ml (1 teaspoon) once per day during mealtime

for 2 days.

Increase dosage to 5 ml twice per day with meals for a further 2

days.

Increase dosage to 5ml three times per day with meals for 1 month.

If no improvement, increase dosage to 10ml three times per day for 2

months.

If still no response, the dosage can be increased to 45ml per day (3

x 15ml)

The mixture is prepared using a lot of heat and it is not affected in

any way by the 2 weeks' travel by air. Although I put the expiry date as

18 - 24 months, I have found that 4 year old batches that I give to

welfare organizations still give very good results.

Dear Carl,

The Sutherlandia OPC will result in a generally loose stool which is not a bad thing. If you get a lot of diarrhea, you should cut back on the dosage until your system is used to it. You can then gradually increase the dosage. Some people are more sensitive than others. I have had individuals who initially could not take more than 1/2 a teaspoon of the liquid without getting diarrhea. The same person eventually took 10 teaspoonfuls per day without a problem. You should not experience any infections as a result of the S/OPC. In fact, the S/OPC should clear up any previous infections after a while.

Thanks for your information.

The symptoms of a urinary track infection are more a need to go a lot

more often.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't having a dangerous reaction to the

product.

I've already cut back on the product and will gradualy build back up

to the higher does.

Hi Carl,

As I mentioned before, I have never heard of oleander causing one to " go

more often " or cause a urinary infection. As Marc said, if a urinary

infection was present, it would correct the problem.

I'm glad you dropped back. Go up as recommended and see how you do.

And let us know of your progress.

Hugs,
