Guest guest
Pubmed has a number of studies revelant to herbal medicine and toenail fungus. Clove oil and eugenol seem to inhibit a variety of organisms that cause onychomycosis, and tea tree oil ( " cha shu jing you " in pinyin, BTW) is prominent in some of the other studies as well. Another study reports the following: " The zones of inhibition data revealed that camphor (1). menthol (2). thymol (3). and oil of Eucalyptus citriodora were the most efficacious components against the test organisms. Guest guest
If I may add a few sentences to this thread. First, foot fungus can be stopped by using an anti-fungal cream. Just make sure your foot is completely dry before wearing socks. However, there is another kind of foot fungus that cannot ever be completely cleared. That is called moccasin foot fungus. I know because I've had it for over 30 years. I'm a soapmaker and I make various ointments and such, but nothing has ever completely cleared this up. It's characterized by a redness around your foot in the area where a shoe would be. Quite a few people notice that their skin on their feet is awfully dry when they have this and mistake it for dry skin. One side effect of the mocassin foot fungus is that toenail fungal infections are likely to occur. I've had both big toenails removed and I still have fungus in the other 8. I've been to doctor after doctor, and tried everything available. I've tried Vick's Vap-o-rub, tee tree oil, soaking my feet in white vinegar, and everything else ever suggested. The only thing I have used that has helped is called Penlac and is a brush-on prescription. I can definitely see drastic improvement in one nail. I also caution any diabetic against walking barefoot, even within your own house. It's just too easy to have a small opening in the skin and get it infected. I rarely walk barefooted, most of the time if I am within my house I at least have on a pair of 'footies'. A foot infection to a diabetic can quickly become a major medical disaster. I have heard a few people say tee tree oil has helped them, but I suspect that the infection was caught in the earliest stages. If you have any redness at all around the side of your feet, I can honestly recommend Lamisil AT cream. Not the lotion. It used to be a prescription, but now is available at any Walmart or pharmacy. Using this twice a day for two weeks will clear up the infection on your skin and then you can switch to the Lamisil AT lotion for use once daily to keep it from reoccuring. Guest guest
petroleum jelly/Vaseline is made with petroleum by products. I won't use it but make my own instead. Real simple - 3 parts oil to 1 part bees wax. I usually use rice bran or olive oil. If I'm making a salve with it, the oil is usually infused. If I'm making a diaper rash balm, the oil would be infused with calendula and lavender or a few drops lavender EO is added. For a chest rub, I'd use menthol crystals, eucalyptus and peppermint EO and a few drops of camphor EO if I have it Paula .......... in Michigan I used to have super powers but my therapist took them away What is unpetroleum jelly? jen

Guest guest
Hi, I've read that virgin coconut oil applied topically and also eaten in the diet regularly can help this condition. Also, both oregano and tea tree eo have been reported to help clear it up. I'd thought of putting the eo's in the VCO for a blend to try on it, just never got around to it. Usually combining helpful carrier oils infused with antifungal herbs and then blended with essential oils. Penetration of the blend is essential. Diet and herbal supplementation should also be addressed (as with any imbalance). VCO is great- but not in and of itself powerful enough to make the difference. Guest guest
If it has not gone internal, which a lot of toenail fungus does, you can use pure Tea Tree Oil on it, dap on with q-tip several times per day and keep feet clean and dry in sandals or open shoes so they stay dry and get good air circulation. Just like atheletes foot precautions do the same for the wet areas of your home. Try to keep them dry as possible and use a fungicide to clean any growing fungi. If it has gone internal (Systemic) you will need to do an internal fungus cleanse in addition to the daily care of the toenails. Hulda Clarks zapper works on fungus, so does a Rife machine, EPFX device using zap mode etc. Prescription antifungus care takes over a year of taking the prescription. When I was in school for nail tech, we were told not to work on clients with nail fungus as it is extremely contagious. Do this every night; or add Tea to bath water;gets rid of foot odor too. Sprinkle Corn-Starch on Feet and in shoes. Trim toenails carefully. Guest guest
Hello, I succeded in healing toe nail fungus completely (I had it since decades!) and in few days using Vit.C Powder: 100 gr. costs about 2 Euro (in Europe). If you want to try it, please take a spoon of the Vit.C Powder and make sort of " paste " adding some drops of water, so that it becomes some similar to a pomade: dense enough that it can adhere to nails and skin. Apply it " at the roots of the nails " -- it is not so easy but possible, and also among the toes especially if the skin is also affected, which is often the case. Do it before going to bed, dressing old socks (Vit.C will destroy them!). You can repeat it in the morning too, if you wish, healing would happen quicklier, otherwise do it evening only. After three-four days, the skin between the toes became almost red and raw (a sign, that the fungus was located deep under the sky), so I stopped for two days, and continued for anothre two or three days, and IT WAS DONE!..:-)) Please dont wonder that the nails will become brown: its normal, they will grow and the brown color will go away. I hope to have explained it clear enough (my english is not very good): it is very easy, cheap, there is no danger of side-effects.... and you only need about a week patience to be totally free from the fungus. Good luck, God bless you, Riana* , " sabjimandi06 " <subratadashomoeo wrote: > > > Hi, > > For toe nail fungus, you take following homoeo medicine :- > > 1.
