Guest guest
Well, with all the things we've had to give up, I'd like to let you know that DARK CHOCOLATE has some great health benefits! Including lowering cholesterol and blood pressure! Of course, the fats, dairy, and sugar in most chocolate products negate the benefits. For info on a source for healthy chocolate, see my sig line. Other sources are available in some natural health stores. http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20030827/dark-chocolate-is-healthy-chocolate http://www.ajcn.org/cgi/content/abstract/74/5/596 http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3032114 Sincerely, Susan Mann, Xocai ID# 17501 www.xocai.com > no fat- use only olive oil - i had high chol and dieted-i love cheese- never ate alot but gave it up, smoking is bad for everything---gave that up-----stopped eating eggs then saw a programme that there are 2 types of chlorestorol-one eats the other or at least helps eliminate it- the stuff was in eggs so i eat a fair few eggs -my last test was down- > exercise helps the whole system function properly > > Alan <alan wrote: > Anybody have a suggestion on how to lower bad cholesterol or LDL? Guest guest
No wonder I've been craving chocolate! LOL I have never liked chocolate until this last year. We get the 100% Giradelli baking bars at Albersons for half to a 3rd of what health food stores charge. Many of the MLMs are climbing aboard the " healthy chocolate " bandwagon. My own dear Amazon Herb Company included. Organic, fair-trade, infused with superfoods and herbs yadayada. I adore ChocaMaca, but if I eat it daily or in excess my body complains. I get itchy, a sure sign of liver stress. Enjoy, but enjoy with caution. Guest guest
Hi Alan, I replied to your personal email but your email provider rejected my email saying only spammers use .ca (so do a lot of non-spamming Canadians!). You may want to change your settings or you will be missing other email too. Anyone with a business such as yourself who uses email needs to have the lowest spam setting. I used to find emails in my bulk or deleted files until I changed my settings. People were calling me and asking if I got their email until I figured it out. Anyway, here's what I wrote you: I did a desktop search of my files and here are some of the results: Acai has two essential fatty acids known as Omega 6 (Linoleic acid) and Omega 9 (Oleic acid). Research shows that Omega 6 helps lower LDL, which is the harmful cholesterol. Then you have Omega 9 fatty acids lower LDL and maintain HDL (beneficial cholesterol) levels. Acai's Anti-Oxidant factors play a large role in maintenance of vascular cardiac system, which is important for better blood circulation **************** Fiber Testimonials (Superior Fiber Blend from Waiora) " My personal challenge has been my cholesterol. With a previous viscous fiber that I took, two measure twice a day, my cholesterol was pretty stable at 182. After two month of Superior Blend Fiber, just one measure twice a day, the HDL (good cholesterol) increased and the LDL (bad cholesterol) went down for a total 45 percent reduction. " † *********************** My name is Pat L. and I live in Texas. I developed gestational diabetes just over 25 years ago and became insulin dependant. I was first introduced to the Natural Cellular Defense product at the end of August. Since then I have added the Cardio Health Pack. From September to October I was getting my cholesterol levels checked by my doctor. Here are my results: Sept. 13th Oct. 14th Cholesterol 227 180 HDL 91 85 LDL 126 78 Triglycerites 48 87 Cholesterol 1.39 .91 Risk Factor I have also seen some slight differences in my blood sugar levels as well. I feel great and I am so thankful that my son Brian told me about these products. ********** Green tea may be helpful. ********** " In December 2004, my total cholesterol was 275 and my bad cholesterol (LDL) was 196. Eight weeks after starting Superior Fiber Blend, my LDL dropped to 142 and my good cholesterol (HDL) increased from the low 30s to 44. My doctor is amazed and so am I. " ************ blueberries may be helpful *********** Sugar can promote an elevation of low density lipoproteins (LDL). ********** Does Coconut Oil Affect Cholesterol Levels? I use virgin coconut oil, olive oil, and butter in my cooking and add extra virgin coconut oil to my smoothies, and I also eat coconut oil just by the tablespoon. My total cholesterol went down over 100 points. HDL and LDL were great! My coworkers could not believe I was eating so much fat and watching my cholesterol levels go down. I had to take a fasting [blood] test to prove it to them. I have lost 18 pounds in three months. I have learned a new way of life and it's easy. I'm healthier for it, too. I will never count calories again! Laurel ***************** Reishi mushroom is excellent for blood pressure and cholesterol. *************** Please let me know if you have success with any of these things. Did you go through weight loss with your dietary changes? Something to watch out for if you did is the rapid release of toxins like mercury, cadmium, etc that are stored in fatty tissues. Great to see you're on a vegetarian diet. Have an awesome day! Sharon Hoehner www.detoxqueen.com , " Alan " <alan wrote: > > Anybody have a suggestion on how to lower bad cholesterol or LDL? Guest guest
Sharon, Thanks again for the advice! Yes, my ISP automatically filters a lot before it ever gets to me. More of it gets quarantined and I have to go in and sort through them. Only the best gets through all of the filters to my actual e-mail account. I'm about to close down this website and e-mail account and move to another ISP now that I have a title for the book and it's getting closer to publication. I'll be sure to get things set up better with the next one so I've got more control. Watch for UnBreak Your Health in your local bookstore! It's the complete reference guide to complementary and alternative therapies, a chance for us to " raise the lake " of public awareness and acceptance of CAM. Guest guest
This is great news to many, however, how and where do you get " healthy chocolate " without all the other stuff that makes it unhealthy.... For example the links that were given below say how it can help insulin resistance, but unless there is a chocolate that doesn't have a ton of sugar in it, which most do, how can this help? It also mentioned coco in another link supplied below.. But again, no name brands or clues as to the " healthy type " to buy, or where to get it. If anyone has this info I would really like to have it. I'm having problems lowering the LDL and not raising the HDL enough, so if I can have a small amount of " healthy chocolate " that would be great, but not at the expense of increasing my blood glucose readings (being diabetic) I hope that we can get some input on this subject on where to get this healthy chocolate and coco and name brands etc, so we can look for it. Thank you and I look forward to your responses Health and Blessings Gail , " tiptoptraining " <susanmann wrote: > > > Well, with all the things we've had to give up, I'd like to let you > know that DARK CHOCOLATE has some great health benefits!
