Guest guest
Salmon is pretty much the best source of omega 3 oil, better than Tuna. It is also very high in vitamin B12, and tastes so good that it can be eaten like fruits. Smoked Salmon packets cannot stand more than two days in my fridge. I mean you have got to love salmon, and if you don't I will report you to the salmonella authorities.
Guest guest
What about salmon cans? My neighbor is buying them... much cheaper than fresh or smoked, but are they healthy too? Guest guest
The bones are good for you, right? Calcium and all the stuff that's in bones? The can itself is what I'm concerned about. I emailed a canned salmon company asking about it, and they told me the cans were lined on the inside with something to make them not stick together. Can't find the email, though. They assured me that it was perfectly safe and approved by the FDA -- like that's supposed to make me feel better... Anybody know what that coating is and if it might be harmful? Maybe it's better to eat canned salmon than no salmon at all?? Joy

They add just a wee bit of gentle crunch. Don't worry about them. Canned wild pacific pink salmon has to be one of the cheapest health foods on the planet. At least, for now, Earth knows how much longer. Ien in the Kootenays, busy saving the Rainforest from home http://wildhealing.net
