I am aware that they say this is irreversible, but then according to orthodox medicine heart disease is incurable also. I know differently! Herbs are wonderful healers! Quercetin rich foods contain natural antihistamines. This nutrient is found mainly in onions, garlic and a few other common foods. Do a search for quercetin on our alternative-medicine-message- boards.info. It should bring up quite a few alternatives for emphysema. Nettle and herbal marshmallow provide similar benefits. We usually purchase the Alvita brand Nettle teas. The results may not be evident immediately. It may take several weeks before there are any really remarkable changes. Herbs are not instantaneous remedies, however they are proven effective over the long term. I would also recommend that she try elderberry tea from Alvita or some other good source. Sambucol is the liquid elderberry formula. Berries are a rich source of antioxidants, and I regard elderberry, hawthorne berry and bilberry as the best! www.alvita.com Blessings, JoAnn
