Every one I know wanted a change of government as john Howard is Bushes buddy, he is a lying deceitful worm, but he and his government are back in and not only are they in they have a majority in both houses with a fundamentalist Christian party called Family First holding 2 seats. ( we are not used to Fundamentalism in the country) We are looking out a revoking of legal abortions, discrimination against same sex marriages, the abolition of Sole parent payments all of this again affecting women. Australians is different to America, we enjoyed a more easy going country- to quote 2 Assie Colloquialism " she'll be right mate " and " Give'm a go " culture. Our country used to support people and it still is. But moment by moment it is disappearing. May of us are in mourning because this is not the Australia we were born into. We can' believe the out come of this election, we can't believe what we are about to experience. We are watching your country and praying that you do not have the same out come, I spent 3 months in the State 11 years ago. And I was shocked that they was not free health care cover and how it consumed the conversation of many people I met, I was shocked at the amount of people begging on the street and the homeless. We are catching up fast.
