Guest guest
Better get him on a real good calcium Magnesium suppliment in powder form and not Coral C. this should relieve the cramps after a week or so. I heard rumours that high doses of Vit "C" like two or three grams daily will correct a tooth problem but of course this hasn,t been approved by the F.D.eh Reg. ---- 05/20/05 10:32:49 Re: Leg cramps and tooth aches I have a son that started a new job and he walks a lot and climbs a lot and he's having horrible leg cramps what can he take for that> also his wife has a tooth ache and can't afford now to get it out..no insurance, so what can she take for that? appreciate....brendalynn sheer <bigotterwv wrote: I couldn't agree more Jan.Anne looking forward to your sharing your knowledgewith us. lynn--- treblclef2 wrote:> > Well isn't this a refreshing post? Guest guest
I had an abcess under an old cap. The infection in that went away with the use of a little oregano oil. You can buy that at the health food store. It burns a little bit in the mouth, but pretty much immediately works, and kills the infection. Guest guest
What I am talking about is dabbing a dab of onto the tooth that hurts. Now, this is foul tasting stuff and it does burn. It goes away relatively quickly. But, for children I don't know. The herb is safe, but if the children are used to taking sugar filled, or aspartame filled medicines, you might not get them to take it again, in this fashion, accept that the fact that the pain goes away would please them as well as ma and pa. Easier to take than hard capsule shaped tablets I think. The brand name is MICRO genics. It's made in Victoria, Australia and I get it from a Health Food Store in Adelaide. Maybe look up cramp bark in Google and you might find a supplement with magnesium with it in your neck of the woods. I used to have to take Quinine tablets to stop the cramping. The govt pulled the plug on quinine and I had to find an alternative. So until Codex comes into effect I have a solution for myself with this supplement. All of our supplements and alternative medicines are slowly disappearing from our shelves. Beware because USA is signing into Codex too. Guest guest
I doubt if oregano oil will kill the infection, though the possibility is that it had deadened the nerve which transmits the pain impulses. It will be better to mix equal volumes of fine salt and soda and use it with your fingers over your teeth and gums alternate days. This will work as an astrigent for the gums, draw out the infection/inflammation,and also remove the grey film from the teeth, and will also take care of cavity formations. , Ed Siceloff <siceloff@e...> wrote: > I had an abcess under an old cap. Guest guest
My experience with the oregano oil is that the pain goes away, the swelling goes down, the bump in the gums goes down. If that all relates to deadening the nerve then I reckon I've just accomplished my own root canal. On the other hand, when under my caps which are already on root canaled teeth, I don't know that there is a nerve there to deaden. So, I've always assumed that the infection is killed, which is one of the things that oregano oil actually does in the research that I've read. Not necessarily just tooth infections. The mouth is one of the most nutrient absorptive places in the body so you are accomplishing getting it into the blood stream as well as as a topical. Guest guest
I would concur Ed, that all the information I've read about Oregano Oil is that it is anti-bacterial and anti-viral. Thus, it would be effective in eliminating a tooth infection and the pain caused thereby.Ed Siceloff <siceloff wrote: My experience with the oregano oil is that the pain goes away, the swelling goes down, the bump in the gums goes down. Guest guest
This reminds me of a little puzzle I was wondering about when my son was little. That sweet little baby mouth, I couldn't keep from kissing. Read that that would actually help innoculate their mouths with defenses from mama's mouth, but then I read things along the lines of drinking after each other encourages cavities. Maybe the breastfed infant mouth is set up completely differently than the older child's, or something? Guest guest
I will try out the oregano oil the next time and see the results myself! , Charles Lytle <chrlytle> wrote: > I would concur Ed, that all the information I've read about Oregano Oil is that it is anti-bacterial and anti-viral.
