Soya aminos

Bea writes about soy/soya, not about cow milk. So the point that cows are given growth hormone injections is not relevant to Bea's mail. Bea says her daughter, a vege, got breasts developed early.

Now I take a digression and raise my question and observation about mental patients (psychotics) in general and request for my Listee friends to react.

#1. There is lot of criticism against soya/soy. For example, sample what Julia Ross writes in her Mood Cure. Her main criticism is about the omega6 in soya. Am I right?

But what about the amino acids derived from soya/soy? Are they also harmful? Should not be. After all omega6 is fat, amino acids are protein. For example, tyrosine powder derived from soya should be the same as derived from non-vegetarian sources like egg and meat? No??

#2. It has been my long standing observation that all psychotics stop eating properly. Either their appetite center in the hypothalamus is deranged or their appetite is deranged due to sleep disturbance or their bio-rhythms across the board are deranged, but it is true that they stop eating. The result is poor nutrition across the board in terms of essential fatty acids such as the famous Omega3 and the essential amino acids and vitamin and minerals. Whether the psychosis causes these nutritional deficiencies or these nutritional deficiencies were there in the first place and they caused the psychosis cannot be settled because the cause effect relation in this case holds true in both the directions. I know of a study in which tryptophan deficient food was experimentally fed and the expected depression was produced. In biology, as against physical sciences, the effect can become cause and the cause effect relation is circular.

What happens in psychosis is that a vicious circle is formed: Poor nutrition---psychosis---poor nutrition.

The core and the main problem is to break this circle. This is where amino powders score over whole nutritive food. Due to poor appetite the psychotic person will not eat enough. Even if he eats, the relevant amino may not cross the blood brain barrier because it has to compete with other aminos. But the specific amino powder can be given empty stomach thereby forcing it to get a free ride to the brain, bypassing the competition.

I believe amino powder or capsule can be taken even if there is no appetite. And thus starts the vicious circle to break. Do you have a better way out of the vicious circle?

Thanks.

Ratan.

They are not harmful. Bear in mind though that purity of the final

product will become an issue. Just as undigested meat proteins are

present in most amino acids made from meat, undigested proteins may

be present in poor quality amino acids from soy. Only a couple of

factories worldwide have the capability of deriving pharmaceutically

pure amino acids.

Amino acids are actually not protein but the building blocks of

protein, and pharmaceutically pure amino acids are more pure than

protein because protein also contains other substances.

I disagree there; cold-processed whey is superior for general amino

acid nutrition, and also for the precursors to glutathione

production, which will reduce toxin load that may be aggravating the

mental disorder.

This is the exact method used for specific purposes such as taking

Somalife gHP, a secretagogue that induces release of HGH. This

secretagogue, made of pharmaceutically pure amino acids, is effective

because it crosses the blood brain barrier while maintaining the

correct ratio for the job, something impure amino acids can not do

very well.

Also to keep in mind is that almost all soy is now GM taintedDuncan Crow <duncancrow wrote:
